I am from Maine originally, and people ask me all of the time what my favorite lobster roll in NYC is. I had yet to visit Pearl Oyster Bar until recently, and can say without a doubt that this is by far my favorite authentic Maine-style lobster roll in the city. Can't wait to go back!
I've eaten lobster rolls from Maine to DJ's Clam Shack in Key West. No trip to NYC is complete without a visit to Pearl Oyster Bar for an unforgettable meal every time. Freshest lobster roll in New York served with delicate shoestring fries! Save room for the chocolate mousse and some berry pie!
Probably one of the best lobster rolls in NYC! It’s definitely on the pricier side, but so worth it. I usually prefer light Mayo on my lobster rolls, but will always make an exception for this roll. Lobster tastes super fresh as well. The fries are also a perfect compliment to the lobster roll. Crispy like a chip!
Pearl Oyster Bar: “The best … (insert any order)”. Sadly, this incredible restaurant staffed by long term employees is finally closing. The lineups to get a “last supper” were biblical. Incredible sea food, fries, chowder, salads and service are ending. This review is really an opportunity to offer last respects. Thank you.
Really great oysters, clams, mussels, lobster… you get the idea. Very minimalist menu, all sea-to-table ingredients and minimalist presentation. Good wine pairing list. Friendly staff, tin-ceiling with exposed brick and traditional lighting with cafe chairs and classic cutlery. Everyone raves about the lobster roll, but I’m allergic so stayed clear! Cape-Cod in the village?
Best Lobster 🦞 Roll in town!
Chunky, creamy, generous roll with an overflowing side of shoestring fries. What’s not love?
Give it a try, and it’ll become an instant favorite.
Plus super friendly hosts that welcome you to grab a drink while waiting for your table.
Cozy space, with a warm ambience. The oysters are fresh and briny. We totally enjoyed our meal, the cod is a die for and the fish sandwich is like a must have. Totally recommended.
A nice little hidden spot in the west village. It seems like a place plucked right out of Maine. Great lobster rolls, raw clams and oysters, fresh steamers. Dimmly lit and cozy place. Be there early, a crowd forms very fast. Awesome place for date night!
This restaurant is one of my favorites. You can meet kind servers in a cozy atmosphere. If you visit here, you must try the lobster roll and mussel. The lobster roll is the best I've ever had. It's so fresh and chewy.
this place is delicious. the lobster roll is out of this world. stuffed with lobster, and a good amount of creamy mayo. don’t let that put you off, it’s wonderfully balanced. it’s pricey, but it’s worth it to me, everyone deserves to spoil themselves. you can never wrong with a full maine lobster, theirs is cooked perfectly. the corn pudding is really tasty, very sweet.
I found Pearl Oyster Bar on the Michelin Guide and their menu looked really appealing. When I got there I received a warm welcome and then showed me their specials along with their menu. I wish I could of ordered everything.
In the picture is a Pan Roasted Cod and this dish was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!
Thank you for this amazing experience!!!
We have been coming here for many years. They have the best lobster roll outside of Maine and perhaps better than you can find in Maine. The place has always been a little cramped for space but I find that part of the experience of eating there. The staff are friendly and helpful. If I were going to the Electric I would order off of their menu for my last meal.
