I recommend sitting by the bubble wall! It's technically part of the bar area and just a row of high top tables, but it's kind of paradoxically less busy-feeling, and the bubble wall itself is gorgeous and makes for a great atmosphere. The bar area is full service, so you'll still have a server paying attention and making your experience great. As for the food, honestly everything on the menu is amazing. The food here is some of the best stuff you'll ever have anywhere. All the sea food options are fantastic, but a few of my all time favorites are the bibb salad (yes really!), and grilled calamari--this one is my all-time fave; I would eat this every day if I could. It's not breaded and fried like most calamari, it's GRILLED and tastes so good, there's no way a review could ever do it justice. Some of my other favorites on the menu are the salmon (that honey mustard sauce, wow!), the tuna, squid ink spaghetti, branzino, and the lobster mac and cheese. Lots of places do lobster mac, but seafire's is my favorite. Of course the steaks are superb as well, as seafire is the sister restaurant to Benjamin Steakhouse and have the same steaks. But I'm a seafood lover, and SFG does it so, so well.

We had late lunch at this elegant restaurant . the Wedge and beet salad were both delicious . The lobster roll sandwich and cheeseburger were both amazing and the herb fires that came with it . The molten chocolate cake our waiter Benson recommended was heavenly . Service and staff super friendly .

We were so glad that we chose to return to the Seafire Grill! The seafood was fresh and beautifully prepared. Scallops appetizer and today's special, red snapper, were both excellent! The scallops may be the very best I have had anywhere. The sauce was a perfect complement. The service was as attentive as we desired. They know how to do seafood. The Sea Fire Grill is in my top five restaurants in the world.

Ignoring the scaffolding outside, Sea Fire Grill is an excellent seafood restaurant with great service and delicious food. The Lunch Prix-Fixe menu at US$45 is excellent value for money for a fine dining restaurant in mid-town Manhattan. The restaurant is less than a 10-minute walk from Grand Central Station. We had the butternut squash soup and grilled calamari for starters, the roasted Mediterranean branzino, and squid ink spaghetti with fresh Maine lobster for our mains. Dessert was tiramisu and NY cheese cake. The food was amazing, and the NY cheesecake is some of the best we have eaten in Manhattan. There is also an extensive wine list. After lunch, Central Park is a mere 15 minutes walk away if you need to walk off the calories. Reservations are strongly recommended.

I went to the Sea Fire Grill with a large group of friends to try their food from the restaurant week menu. As we arrived, we got promptly seated and presented with the wine list, regular dinner menu as well as the restaurant week menu. Their wine list is pretty extensive and there are plenty of wine in various price categories to choose from. Apparently, the restaurant week menu also lists special restaurant week wines so I suggest you check both lists before placing your wine orders. The food we ordered was delicious (I ate mine, but also sampled what my friends had). The octopus for the appetizer was very tender, and was just a joy to eat. For the main course I ordered branzino, and it was served whole but deboned (if I'm not mistaken, the bones were removed before the fish got cooked). This attention to details says a lot about the chef. Our server was very polite and attentive, and together with the great food it made that evening a very pleasant experience. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant as the food and service are top notch.

The steak was amazing! The best steak I have tasted in months. The Benjamin Group does amazing steaks. Also portions for the appetisers, entrees, to dessert are all huge and of great quality! Would skip the cold soup. That had strong cucumber, personal preference. Thanks for having us.

Wow the service here was impeccable. We had an early dinner here on our recent anniversary trip to NYC from Texas. My husband ordered the ribeye and I ordered the salmon, we shared a side of herb fries. The steak came out perfectly cooked and still sizzling on the plate. Our waiter served my husband a few pieces and drizzled over the hot fat 🤤. The salmon was beautifully cooked. The skin was so crispy and crunchy while the inside was legit the perfect ‘medium’. It came with a side of black rice which was cooked to perfection as well. I’ve had black rice in the past and it was a little too undercooked. This black rice was so moist and tender with great flavor. The sneaky star of the table were the herb fries. Idk how they do it but they were so crispy but not in a way we’ve had before. The crunch on the outside was so thin and the inside so fluffy. The flavor was spot on. So much so we ordered another round of fries before leaving lol! The atmosphere here is cozy and low lit. The candles on each table and around the main dining area provide a nice, almost intimate, setting. Great spot for a fine dining meal.

I came here for NYC restaurant week and what a find! I'm weary of restaurants near big tourist areas - this one's close to Grand Central - but this was great! The quality and quantity was perfect even during restaurant week. I started with the burrata which was deliciously light, airy and refreshing. The accompanied crushed tomato and pureed basil sauce added the needed flavor to a light cheese. The NY strip was a perfectly cooked medium rare. The tiramisu dessert was a nice and subtle ending to a nice dinner. Definitely will come back!

We had the good fortune of our son treating us to the Sea Fire Grill. We had an early reservation and were seated at a very nice table near the fireplace. We ordered off of the Weekend Menu and both had the bone-in strip steak. While this is a seafood focused restaurant they are in the Benjamin Steak House family, so they get very good steaks. My steak may well have been the best I've every had. The service was also outstanding across the board. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we could not have been more pleased.

Beautiful restaurant and food. The service is some of the best we received at any restaurant in the city. We were in for restaurant week and the menu was fantastic. The grilled octopus was my personal favorite though the squid ink pasta + filet were both done to absolute perfection. They even included a Happy Birthday placard and candles for my wife on her special day. 10/10 can't wait to go back!

Let me just say this is by far the best place we have ever been. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there on Saturday March 11th, 2023. It's really a hidden gem on the east side of midtown Manhattan. The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. Our waiter Dennis, was just fabulous and amazing in his service, recommendations and professionalism. He was truly the best. My wife order the Lobster Salad for an appetizer she said it was delicious with sparkling seltzer water. I ordered the beet salad with a Virginia daiquiri which was amazing. For the main course, my wife ordered the Surf & Turf which looked and tasted really good. I ordered the Tomahawk Steak well done with cream of spinach and Fingerlings Potatoes which I will say the food was on a scale of 1 - 10 a 1,000. For dessert my wife had the Pecan Pie with vanilla ice cream and I have the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The price is well worth it and we will be going back very soon. Again thank you to our waiter Dennis for the excellent service and the owner for making our 25th wedding anniversary dinner special.

Sea Fire is our absolute favorite Seafood restaurant in NYC! The dining space is very elegant, the service is impeccable, but what really separates it from other restaurants is the food! On this trip we had several appetizers including the octopus, tuna tartare, and scallops. For dinner I had the Dover Sole. Everything was simply devine! I simply can't recommend this place highly enough! If you get the chance, go!
