I started writing reviews because other reviewers helped me find places like this one. It was close to our hotel and we were in a mood for Italian cuisine for a late lunch. A small place with entrance few steps down from the road on 48th street will make you rethink if you are really going to a place with such great rating. The polite servers and the good ambiance will help you change your point of view until you wait for the food. We ordered Spaghetti with homemade meatballs. Our server graciously informed us that the main course portion is huge enough for 2 people. We were served with freshly baked garlic bread while waiting for our main course which kind of set our expectation for the food quality and taste. The main course was absolutely delicious and fresh. My wife has visited Italy and according to her the taste was as authentic as you can find in Italy. The bar, the music, the food and the happy hour (3pm to 5pm) made our experience a memorable one. I would definitely visit this place again if I’m ever nearby and try something new from the menu.

Great food. Amazing pizza and went back a few days later for mains we say others having. Excellent quality and quantity. Pricey but the food is second to no where. Wish I could go again before I travel home.

Everything was just perfect. I am speachless. The food & service & atmosphere were great. We ordered a few "simple" dishes.. and the mexican chef made them so delicious! We will go to get some more for sure!

Absolutely amazing service and unbelievable food. I had the tortellini Patzeria and it was amazing. Everyone else at my table was jealous (and eating off my plate). Eric was our server. He was by far the best server I've had in NYC. He was able to get us seated quickly, without reservations (but I'd recommend reservations). I left my credit card at the table and they had it waiting for me when I came back. You've got to check this place out.

Awesome! I went to Patzeria this summer and had to come back and eat for three additional times on my most recent trip, including Thanksgiving dinner. Their white cheese pizza is the best I have ever eaten. Spaghetti is really good. I would never think I'd be rave about hot cocoa... but here I am. I had a complete happy plate for the traditional Thanksgiving turkey. Everything seems to be homemade, not pre-prepared food. It is consistently well-made, delicious food. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. It is all around a great restaurant and I hopefully will be returning. I would recommend this to anyone. It was even better than some more well-known restaurants I went to on my trip.

What an eccentric little hole in the (ground) wall! I love how homey and inviting this restaurant is. The employees seemed very hardworking and rushing around to serve customers! We got the garlic knots as an appetizer and they were divine! My family and I shared a pepperoni pizza, which was great! My sister got a pineapple and ham personal, which she loved as well. The crust was thin but not too crispy- literally just right. They serve it for you onto your plates, which is a great gesture (unless you are an avid reviewer like me- and you have to take photos before every meal!) It wasn't too greasy either! As the pastas passed our table coming out of the kitchen, they were mesmerizing! Although we were tourists, it seemed very popular with locals! It did get a little loud since the kitchen is not completely closed off, but I didn't mind at all! Very authentic as well! Bravo, patzeria! 10/10, would recommend to any and all Italian food lovers.

This place is fantastic! They have many returning local customers as well as plenty of tourists. Went for dinner around 6pm and was seated right away. Waiter came quickly and took our drink and food order. I ordered the special of shrimp stuffed with crab (pictured). My partner ordered the chicken marsala. Both meals were fantastic and very satisfying. Didn't order dessert but the cheesecake looked amazing.

Fantastic restaurant high quality ingredients great place to bring the family or come alone which was in my case. The lasagna is great and the chicken marsala was fantastic as well. However I wouldn't recommend getting the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer because it's not that good and it seems to be frozen shrimp that's been thawed out overnight therefore it's not fresh, but everything else is fantastic. You will also love the teramusu dessert.

Really good, unpretentious spot for pizza, pasta, heroes and more. I stopped in the other night for an individual pie after the theater and it was fairly priced and very generously sized; could be shared if you were having an appetizer or salad (total with one topping and only water to drink was around $15). Today I tried a pasta dish - cheese ravioli - and very much enjoyed it. I also had a salad and a very tasty house-made sangria and was offered a basket of garlic bread (total around $38). This will definitely be on our short list in the theater district ahead of some other places that may have bigger reputations but have proved underwhelming.

Had a good meal at this place. Took the 20 inch pizza with someone. Taste was good and the waiter was nice. The restaurant looked good, except for the television bur that's an American thing. Too bad it was really freezing inside. But had good food for my money!
