Max and cheese is average but everything else was good! But in its own, weird little way this place transcends the food.
I enjoy the beef ribs, mac n' cheese, and sweet potato pie. Would be great if they went back to Styrofoam food containers instead of plastic; the food tastes much better that way.

Jacob Restaurant has indoor seating but because of Covid it's strictly take-out. This soul food, buffet style, will have you coming back for more. Everything you could want is here and the food is delicious. From the short ribs to the oxtail to the fried chicken, on and on, it's authentic. The sides are scrumptious and the beauty of this place is you set your own price by how much food you put in your plate. I like to grab a quick lunch plate and sit in the park to eat. Oh and by the way, they have great desserts - my favorite is the banana pudding like grandma used to make.
Everything I and my friends tried was absolutely delicious and reasonably affordable. The highlights for me were the sweet yams, the okra, and the curried goat.
The food is best over here. The restaurant is a buffet style where u pick up your own whatever food you want. The price is reasonable. Definitely worth visiting.
