Everything was great (except for the wine list app not working) but my husband left hungry which, for the price, gave me pause on a full 5 stars. The staff were friendly and continued to wish us a happy anniversary. I wouldn’t run back but I would recommend it for a nice meal in the city to celebrate an event!

The price point for eating here is definitely steep but it’s worth it! The food is incredible and each dish came out as creative and delicious as the next. They also had a great mocktail pairing which I really appreciated since not a lot of restaurants actually do that!

It was fantastic!! Perfect food with perfect service!! The service staff was attentive to each guest. The hospitality felt sincere throughout the entire time we were at the restaurant, from the greeting at arrival to our departure. If the temperance pairing is offered, take it. It’s what sets Atera apart from the other fine dining restaurants. Chefs try to be creative with food but drinks other than wine are often neglected. The temperance pairing is bold, inventive, and goes so well with the dishes. I’d buy the ginger drink regularly if offered. The oyster appetizer is one of the best bites I’ve ever had: briny, sour, fruity, herbal, all concentrated into a large spoonful. It’s an intense burst of flavor that leaves you wanting more. You look forward to the other dishes. In my mind, it is *the* perfect first course—highly memorable. The cooking style. What makes Atera unique is its use of “concentrates”. Some dishes are so punchy, you put a spoonful in your mouth and it hits you like a brick in the face. This is done through smoke, herb oils and infusions, cheese, and jus. This shows up in the temperance pairing as well, a few drops of brightly colored oil here and there. Of course, if every dish is strong, our palate will become overwhelmed and the meal quickly turns dull; Chef Emborg alternates between dishes with strong and subtle flavors, which defines the structure of the whole tasting menu. Service is of course exceptional. The counter seating gives a full view of the kitchen, which is fun to watch if you’re into that. My main gripe is the sameness of the tasting menu over multiple iterations. I’ve dined at Atera three times and felt the meals were too similar to each other. Diminishing marginal returns come into play. The first time was magical, but I’m hesitant to go a fourth time… maybe in another year or two. I recommend going to Atera mainly for the exceptional temperance pairing. Food is great, but delicious food can be found at many restaurants. A non-alcoholic pairing at this level is rare.

Incredible experience last night for my husband and I celebrating our wedding anniversary. This restaurant is on another level. The kitchen was calm and collected the entire service. The non alcoholic pairing was really special. Each drink was beautiful and complimented the food perfectly. Each course was delicious, thoughtful and unique. The stand out dish for us was the crab, ricotta & mushroom ravioli paired with the burnt ginger cocktail. They really made our night so special.

Solid fine dining meal with all the basics done right - exquisite ingredients with stellar technique and preparation, an eclectic wine menu with a good range and a well maintained ambience that feels cosy and luxe. Don’t expect anything too crazy, but do expect great execution.

Atera is such a beautiful and intimate restaurant that serves a tasting menu so I had to try it out! One of my favorite parts of the experience was the N/A pairing, it was one of the best pairings that l've had. Each drink elevated the dish that it was paired with and also tasted great, my favorite was the raspberry with basil ice cream. Sadly, I have mixed feelings on the food. In my opinion the menu wasn't very cohesive, the order of things was interesting and by the end of the meal I was left underwhelmed. The second, and fourth courses seemed like they should've been canapés and a lot of the courses that included caviar seemed like it was just for the presentation because they added such a little amount that it didn't add anything to the taste of the dish. One of the most disappointing parts of the meal was the chicken, there were only 2 bites that were edible, the rest had the most odd texture that led to it not being able to be chewed. Looking back, there was one memorable dish from the meal which was the crab ravioli, it was so delicious.

Impeccable - we dined at the table as a group of four and everyone loved the experience. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully served. Atera continues to be a delightful experience under the steady hand of head chef Ronny Emborg.

Enjoyed the tasting menu during lunch. Every single course was great- my favorites were the ebelskiver, lamb, and caviar with custard. 4 apps, 5 entrees, and 3 dessert courses. Loved that there were multiple dessert courses. Very intimate setting with a chef's counter and 1 table (16 seats?). No menu beforehand, but gave us copies to take home at the end.
