We had a truly lovely time at Craft. In a place that could’ve felt prohibitively pretentious we felt welcome and relaxed. The food was spot on, what you would expect from a celebrity chef in New York City with this legacy.
-The squash and burratta was our favorite
-The short ribs were our second favorite
-Our soufflé was cooked perfectly but I didn’t save enough room for dessert
-No amuse bouche
-A wrapped pastry to go was produced from a basket at the host stand. Was tasty!
-Bring more people to try more things!
-They were out of scalloped potatoes and we didn’t dig the suggested alternative of aligot
-Wish we were in a wine mood as the lovely Beverage Director Cheron would have certainly steered us to pairing heaven!
Besides the culinary excellence, the part that we cherished the most was the warm service, especially from the clearly beloved-by-all Cesar!!
We were sat about 20 minutes after our 8:15 reservation but our long leisurely dinner made up for it and made my husbands birthday celebration extra special.
I came here with a group of people for a celebration. I had never heard of the place, but I’m so glad I got the chance to try it. We had a set menu that was served family style, which was great because we all got to try everything. For the first course we had the mixed lettuce salad, burrata, hamachi crudo. For the mains we had the green circle chicken and Meyers dry aged steak with caulini and potatoes on the side. They served cinnamon donuts for desert. Everything was really REALLY good to be honest, so it’s hard to pick what was my favorite. I really enjoyed the steak but the absolute standout were the potatoes! Seasoned to perfection, perfectly crispy and bursting with delicious herby flavor. We couldn’t get enough of them. The burrata was really interesting; there were figs and grapes in it. Sounds odd but it worked really well. I would definitely come back again. The sandia cocktail was also pure bliss!
The servers were amazing; very attentive and focused on making sure we enjoyed ourselves.
I went here for dinner with a large group. The environment is immaculate with great aesthetics and sound proofing. The wine selection is very good. We particularly liked the halibut, hamachi crudo, hen mushrooms, gazpacho, and cake. We were not the biggest fans of the tagliatelle. The potato purée was polarizing. Some people found the banana upside down cake too sweet. It was others’ favorites. It’s worth noting that the mint chip ice cream tastes more like spearmint than peppermint because some people dislike spearmint. I’d recommend this spot for special occasions.
Easily one of the best meals I've had. We went here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We got the scallops which were sweet and delicious, the braised short rib which was so tender it fell apart as you tried to eat it, and the risotto was sublime. The atmosphere was nice, cozy and had a nice ambience. The dessert, chocolate souffle, was amazing. Overall it was one of the best meals we've had. Do yourself a favor and try it, no regrets here!

This is a phenomenal establishment to enjoy each other’s company and eat some absolutely incredibly delicious food. Our sommelier was wonderful as he learned what wines we typically drink and recommended to us a wine we normally wouldn’t get in our neck of the woods.
We started off our meal with some beautiful baked complimentary bread and an amuse bouche. Then we had a dozen beautifully prepared oysters and the hamachi crudo. The hamachi was left to be the star of the dish as the rest of the ingredients so eloquently highlighted it.
My wife got the heirloom tomato salad and I got the ribeye steak. We ordered a side of the hen of the woods mushrooms and the gratin potatoes. Unfortunately, we were told the kitchen burnt our potatoes so we got the purée potatoes instead. Complimentary.
My wife’s tomato salad was beautifully seasoned to just let the exquisite ingredients shine.
My steak, although one of the best flavored steaks I’ve had in a very long time, was not prepared to my liking. I ordered it medium as I often fear most places undercook medium rare. Unfortunately, this was more rare for my liking. Based on our server’s inquiries, I think he thought it to be under cooked as well. Ironically, how many times have we seen chef Tom Colicchio just rail on chefs for the same mistake on his show?!?
The big disappointment were the mushrooms. I like vegetables and mushrooms to have a nice char on them, but there is a fine line between charred and burnt. These were burnt. That bitter burnt taste was prevalent throughout. My wife is a mushroom lover and couldn’t take a second bite.
We opted to end with the cheese board. Sadly, I don’t think this should be on the menu. If we don’t get to choose the cheeses, then three selections for us should be killer and mind blowing. They were not.
Why do I still give it 5 stars? Because this place is amazing. The staff was great, the vibe was great, the wine was great, and most of the food was great. Someone was having an off night in the kitchen. Albeit the most expensive meal this public school music teacher has ever purchased, it was for a good cause. My beautiful and loving wife of 20 years.
All those 1 star reviews are WHACK! We booked this last minute for our honeymoon and they EXPLODED the expectations. Guys, we are French and used to Michelin Gastronomie and good food, we are huge foodies. First, so far, this is THE BEST restaurant we’ve ever been to in New York City. Second, food was PERFECT, even the meat was amazing for a US restaurant. Service was absolutely incredible, this is how you do a service. Coordination, smiles, no disturbances, attention to details, everything.
We got our own menus printed out with « congratulations ___ & ___ ». We got a free ice cream with Congrats written on it and we’re welcomed by some champagne. Again, I booked this 45 minutes before getting there. Amazing work, congrats to the chef and to the whole entire staff. Thank you for showing New Yorkers the art of gastronomy and service.

My husband and I were in New York celebrating our 5-year wedding anniversary and we chose to dine at one of our favorite celebrity chef’s restaurants knowing it would be an amazing experience…and boy were we right! They personalized the actual menu for us with our names, surprised us with complimentary champagne, and we had the most incredibly friendly and hospitable staff ever. Don’t even get me started on the food. DELICIOUS. 5 stars. Craft’s menu makes you so grateful to be eating beautifully prepared and sustainably sourced food—so incredibly worth it. We will be back!
Craft is a great restaurant that offers a wide selection of options but still able to deliver on quality. On a busy night, the staff remained attentive. The most notable dishes include the octopus, crudo, duck, and the cheesy potatoes
My husband and I had an amazing experience here yesterday. We had a day date and opted to come to Craft and try the tasting menu. It did not disappoint! All of the dishes were absolutely delicious, even the obscure ones which I normally would not have tried.
To top it off, the cocktails were next level, and the service was impeccable. We're definitely going to come back with friends and family.
The hospitality and the staff is outstanding there, craft have a great collection for anyone who loves wine. They also have a variety of cocktails and mock tails there, it’s was my boyfriends birthday and when I called them to tell them about the special occasion, the lady said she’ll take care of it nicely. When I walked in, our table was all set and it had customized menu with my boyfriends name written on top. The food is 10/10 guys, I would recommend you guys to try the octopus and the salad from the appetizer and aged steak, the duck and halibut fish from the main course.
