Amazingly good breakfast! Home-good cooking and Dave’s dry humor makes the morning better. Seriously, Ulmer’s Cafe is like stepping back in time with vintage Minnesota homey decor and just plain good food! When I’m passing through New Ulm, I eat at Ulmer’s.

Went there for breakfast. Everything tasted like old grease. Eggs, pancakes even the toast-old grease. Never again.

Went for lunch. Waitress was great. Food was even better. Had the Reuben and it had a full slab of beef instead of thin slices! Several other menu items looked enticing too! Will be back. Cash Only but not a problem since it is family affordable. Had that stereotypical small town cafe feel.

We went there last Saturday morning. There was only one server so we knew we would have a wait and we weren't in a big hurry so we were fine. But after more than 15 minutes of her walking right past our table without even offering to bring us water or coffee, all the while taking orders of folks seated at tables after us, we left. We ate there before a few years back and and it was good but this was too much!

Breakfast was delicious, bacon was popping hot when delivered to the table. Eggs cooked to perfection with friendly staff.
