The End Cut is a tiny hidden gem restaurant conveniently located on Rte 9W just north of Highland and New Paltz. Their meatball appetizer is incredible and I am a tough meatball critic! The steaks, seafood, & sides are great. The craft cocktails are always on point. They have outdoor seating in summertime, but in winter, there’s limited table and bar seating so it’s a great idea to make a reservation. The key lime pie is also quite good.

End Cut is without question a delicious restaurant and a gem among the many great spots to eat in the Hudson Valley. I’ve eaten dinner here with friends several times now and been consistently impressed with the freshness, quality/sourcing of ingredients, and the gourmet flavor combinations available on the menu. Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been helpful and kind. It truly seems to me that any low rating on Google was either written by someone who just can’t be pleased, or by folks who have a limited working knowledge of the intricacies of running a restaurant (seating policies, changing reservations, etc) ESPECIALLY during these strange times, and therefore maintain unrealistic and self-oriented expectations about how their experience should go. I’ve got nothing but praise for the team at End Cut, and for all the fine food and drinks they serve, and I think we’re lucky to have them in our neighborhood!

After going back and being able to get in this time, I have to say, our meal was beyond fantastic. The mushroom cakes appetizer was beyond delicious! I ordered the burrata salad and the seared scallops (appetizer) as my dinner, and I was not disappointed in the least! Every dish was absolutely fantastic! I finished with the apple tart tatin, whis is fantastic if you love that sour sweet, mouth puckering, taste. We will definitely be back for more!

This falls under our second favorite restaurant . Red onion being number one in the area . There's a handful of selection but it's realistic something for everyone. Reasonable price for a CHEF cooked to order experience, GREAT happy our on wines! Small cozy, real good food.

We came in and were asked if we had a reservation. We said we did not. The waiter said that we could only sit at the bar which looked crowded. We seen empty clean tables. We decided to leave and the waiter asked us if we wanted to sit outside. It was hailing!!! So we declined the offer. Then we left and suddenly he ran to our car offering us a table for an hour and fifteen minutes. We declined that as well. Why didn't they check what they had available before only offering the bar? Don’t even waste your time, its as fancy as it looks online.

The atmosphere is very cozy. Staff were friendly and the food is to do for. While it is a bit more expensive than a normal place it is so worth it for the quality and taste of what you get! We had filet mignon, baked stuffed clams, coconut shrimp, and meatballs and everything was delicious! I can not wait to go back!!
