A New Orleans institution! They have been around almost 100 years and supply beans to some of the best restaurants in New Orleans! I love their fresh roasted beans – – it doesn’t get any better than this!
Try-Me has been around for ages. My parents used to have it hand delivered weekly in Metairie in the 50's and 60's. Wish I could remember the exact blend they bought. Been getting my coffee here since before Katrina. Funky neighborhood business. Prices have gone up some but they are still very reasonable compared to other places and you know your coffee was roasted an hour before you picked it up. Always good and friendly service. Worth the drive if you're not in
They fill the neighborhood with the wonderful smell of roasting coffee. All coffee is roasted by hand in old school small batch roasting machines from the 1930s. While they mainly supply local restaurants with coffee, they will sell to the public if you call ahead.
