Vic's Kangaroo Cafe - New Orleans - Photo album

We ordered jambalaya and pepperoni pizza for the table, and maybe we were just having a really fun night, but it was really good! I didn't expect to enjoy the food as much as I did. The atmosphere was also really chill and comfortable.
Best neighborhood bar in The Warehouse District. Great location, fantastic staff, comfortable surroundings, nice outdoor area. Best spot to enjoy a cocktail. Fun to see all of the service industry folks in the neighborhood come in for their happy hours when they get off work. No drama; never a pr
A great place to grab a drink and a quick bite to eat. Came here off late night after it was one of the few places selling food late night. Pizza was a hit, drinks did snag if needed to do and service was solid. No real complaints. Kinda like a dive bar feel.
Great customer service, friendly bartender, and speedy service! It’s a little ducked off hole in the wall, in my opinion due to the decor and location. I would definitely visit again in the near future. There is also outside seating with miniature tents that you can sit under. It’s diagonal from Bar
My favorite bar in all of NoLa - relaxed atmosphere, good people, tasty pizza when you need a late night bite. Being right off of Tchoup has it next to a lot of things to do, but I always make time to stop in for a cold one and a laugh. My go-to spot when I'm in New Orleans!
A fun place for us Aussies to go. Even though our barman Dave was flat chat he was friendly and enjoyed a laugh or two with us. I was really pleased that Dave knew how to make a lemon, lime and bitters just like from back home. Thinks to note: not open on Sunday’s it seems and not open until 5pm bu
Escaped the loud football crowd to Kangaroo, which was pleasantly just chatty with ppl not sports. I cannot rate food as I had none but atmosphere was laid back and very friendly! As a couple of Finns obvs the familiar flags gained good points 😆and at first I was super impressed by REAL glasses (and
I've left so much of my DNA in this bar it's amazing the authorities haven't come knocking, you know to tie up loose ends in some kind of investigation. Luckily I live in New Orleans and our cops are totally down with loose ends.
from out of town and loved this spot! great bartenders, zach was amazing. loved the vibes, late night food was great. will definitely come back when in town
The shepherd's pie was pretty good and the service was fine. Pretty laid back, quiet bar with a lot of personality.
This place is a dive bar in the best ways. Local vibe with great friendly bartenders and service and decent drink prices. They don't offer much in food options, but definitely get the shepherd's pie if they got it. It serves two and is very tasty.
Loved this place! Great service - the bartenders were the absolute best. If you get the shepherd's pie, know that it's "the most" - a very generous portion but very tasty! Can't wait to visit again on a future trip to NOLA.
Great dive bar. Love the atmosphere and local vibe.
I did not really pick up an Australian vibe, but this place was *consistently* the belle of the ball of all the places visited in the French Quarter/Downtown area. Service was great, prices were a steal, and the food is proper good. They happen to be one of the few places that carry Abita Strawberry
Best of the dive bars. As a couple laid back millennials, it was truly the best Halloween we've had in years. Allegra and Eric were so awesome! Good prices, cheap, old school jukebox, stumbling distance from the hotel... What more could you ask for?
A must try place if you’re ever in town! Great bar with friendly people and the perfect atmosphere.
