The Velvet Cactus - New Orleans - Photo album

Velvet Cactus is a wonderful place to take the family of friends for an adventurous night out. There is a large outdoor seating area with plenty of activities to keep everyone happily engaged. The food was good, definitely an American play on Mexican food. The service was okay- it was obvious our se
OMG IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A MILLION STARS I WOULD. Our server Jonathan G was awesome and nice. Cute atmosphere. Theres a station for mosquito spray outside if you’re dining outside. My son is allergic is egg and soy. And he’s 2 so a very lucky eater. We were informed that the chicken tenders ha
The food is always good and the ambiance is always nice. I love the crawfish banditos! I could eat them daily. The margaritas are always on point and I love that there are so many to choose from. I'll be visiting again soon.
Delicious food and fun atmosphere. The only bad thing was the waitress never came to clear out any of our used dishes off of the table the entire time we were there.
I have visited this restaurant several times and have been satisfied every time! There is a very unusual interior with paintings and decor. Very good service with Helen, where the waiters cheer up! I think they really love their job! And finally, about the food! You are best! For the first time in A
The restaurant is gorgeous and a great place to hang out with friends for happy hour. There are lots of games and plenty of space to just enjoy the ambiance. The food is delicious, especially the quesadillas. They are massive and we certainly couldn’t finish them. The drinks are good but the margar
This location's food did not disappoint. I tried the new menu item- the Mexican Pizza, and it was flat-out fabulous. My daughter had the Tacos and street corn, which were equally as good. Yet, the star of the show was the cucumber Margarita. I know it sounds strange, but it's one of its best selle
Beautiful restaurant. The food was good. My only complaint is on the shrimp and grits. I don't know if, because we arrived at 8 I received an eating soup spoon of grits. But, that's what I revieced for $21.00. The waitress correct it and gave me more without question. So, it worked out.
Well this is certainly a fun place worth the 40 minute wait. Their margaritas are wonderful and you can drink it on the patio which is beautiful while you wait for your table. Our server was great and the food cones out fast. Their velvet steak tacos are Devine and that corn on the cob is like no ot
The only thing that I regret about this place is not taking any pictures! I'll definitely go back and get some! Omg, the food was AMAZING. AH-MAZ-ING. It's like a gourmet Mexican joint. I don't think I've ever eaten at a better Mexican restaurant 🤔 Nope, I haven't. Ok so firstly, the location is re
Food & Atmosphere were great! Our server apparently had too many tables and was not very attentive after our meals were delivered. We had to ask another server for reflls.
I will definitely be back. Great food. Love the atmosphere.
The Velvet Cactus is an excellent spot for tequila enthusiasts like myself. A really good spot for tacos and such as well. The outdoors are nice and welcoming where it screams a social spot afterwork and on weekends. I had two different margaritas. I want to say it was the Christmas Cactus and the
The staff was great and the food was just fantastic!! Great atmosphere, but be prepared to wait for inside seating. Outside has plenty of seating and somewhat kid friendly.
The food and service was excellent!!! I had the 'Smoked Brisket Tacos"& my wife had the "Velvet Steak Tacos".
Hidden Little Gem. Fun atmosphere, great customer service, and tasty food.
