Venezia Restaurant - New Orleans - Photo album

This restaurant opened in 1957 and the authenticity shows. The food tasted like an Italian grandmother's cooking delicious and filled with love. From the outside, it may seem a little iffy but once inside you are immediately transported to little Italy in New York's Lower East Side except that it's
This is my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. I drive an hour just to eat at this restaurant. The service is never bad and the food is always great. I can’t recommend this place enough. Then, after you eat your appetizer and main course, save room for dessert, and walk a few doors down to Angelo
This restaurant has a big green and red sign out front that you cannot miss. There are no windows and the glass panels on the door do not reveal a thing. I walked boldly to the bar and there were a couple of stools available. The bartender recommended a delicious red wine called Bonanza and the cap
A definite old time Italian restaurant with home style Italian specialty dishes. The pizza and lasagna is good of course, but dishes like Eggplant Vatican really define the place. Food is great and service is very friendly, prompt and right on spot. This is a very busy restaurant and I am sure they
Just like it's always been. We enjoyed everything
Traditional Italian American fare in a cozy atmosphere. The red and white sauces are a little too salty and sweet, as is too typical at restaurants nowadays, but the average patron will not notice. The dishes could also be more garlicky. The creamy fettuccini comes in a large portion. The stuffe
Nice, cozy Italian traditional, great drinks and food selection. Very short wait on Friday night at 8. Had the Veal Ponchartrain, perfect portions of veal and pasta. Well poured drinks and wine made it the perfect experience. In business since 1957, and still doing it right. Went there first time 30
The food is amazing the atmosphere it's beautiful. I'm not a big fan of Italian food. This restaurant has changed my mind. The food is delicious. I had the ribeye, medium rare. It was savory and tender. My son had the lasagna. It was so amazing that he ate the huge piece in it's entirety. For appe
This is a nice, little Italian restaurant outside of the tourist area but can easily be reached by taking the streetcar although there looked like a decent amount of parking, also. The portion sizes are large and taste good. The pasta was really good. My panne chicken was hard and seemed overcooke
NY Strip perfectly cooked!! It’s a lively restaurant so it can become difficult to hear people with whom you’re dining but it’s kind of adds to the experience. I love the pasta as a side to my delicious steak and the garlic bread is hard to beat!
Highly recommend. Our waiter was very nice. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. Prices were good. Sizzling steaks that smelled delicious were served to the table next to us.
This family-owned restaurant has been on our list for a while and we finally managed to have dinner there last week! We were lucky to slip in without a reservation, but the next time we'll definitely make one because the place stayed packed all evening! The food was excellent, the staff were frie
If you're expecting a little old school Italian then go. Great appetizers and expected Italian dishes. Pizza very good. Last visit was party of 6 and only disappointment was an really overcooked chicken/pasta dish. Oh and great non advertised value. $15 corkage fee. Bring a bottle of wine.
Classic New Orleans style Italian spot. Great atmosphere for a cute date night. Food was great but, like a lot of places, they decreased the serving size and increased the price.
Tonight’s meal was excellent!!!! Instead of eating one of my usual favorite menu selections, I chose the special for the evening: a 6oz filet mignon and crab cake (surf and turf). They were served with a side Caesar salad and fresh green beans. Everything served was cooked to perfection and never be
We have been coming to Venezia’s for 60 years. Started the evening with an awesome Old Fashion prepared by Rob! Rob greeted us as he always does! Rob suggested tonight’s special a decadent Surf and Turf dinner, 6 oz Filet and Crab Cake with Sweet Lump Crabmeat. Our server Lacy was the best! W
