Definitely one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The friend green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade in particular was one of the best dishes I had on this trip. Which makes sense, considering this (now) New Orleans staple was created at Upperline! I liked the course dinner option. Portion sizes w
Stopped at upperline for a late romantic dinner based on the recommendation of a local tour guide. We were not disappointed.
The hostess and owner was so personable and gave us a list of her own recommendations.
The food was very good, we did prix fixe which is the best deal to try a bunch on item
A wonderful assortment of some of Louisiana's greatest dishes! The duck etouffee, turtle soup, gumbo, and fried tomatoes were everything you hoped they would be and more. The food is amazing and worth every penny.
When we were making plans to come to New Orleans, we wanted to pick a great restaurant and were overwhelmed with all the choices. Luckily, we chose right by going to Upperline. Excellent ambiance that was casual yet elevated, great cocktails, excellent service, and amazing food. We were blown away
The drum fish I ordered was fresh and delicious. Waiter was nice and attentive. Interior is decent and there are many interesting original painting on walls.
The only complaint I have is the food presentation, or lack thereof. For example, the 5 piece of fried oysters(appetizer) were just placed fla
thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant.. creme brulee was heavenly! lovely owner and envious art collection. very down home artsy ambiance. the tasting menu was filling and a nice snapshot of local cuisine.
This place is fantastic! Do yourself a favor and get out of the French Quarter for a trip to the Garden District. The Taste of New Orleans seven favorites tasting dinner is a must try. Enjoy!
We had fine experience: food and service were exceptional. Big big thank you to the owner
We truly enjoyed our evening here with great food and some people watching. We were lucky our trip was just before they shutdown the city. We had fried green tomatoes, drum with ?crab (I forgot), salad, filet, and I forgot what the last person had. All was very good, also very good desserts. Definit
The food was incredible. Everything was prepared to perfection. We had the 3 course meal which included dessert and I'm so glad we did! The bread pudding was the best I've ever tasted! The duck was fantastic as were the lamb and fish. I highly recommend Upperline and will return the next time we're
We visited Upperline on. Sunday evening, having never eaten there before. Boy were we bowled over. Our wonderful evening began with a warm greeting by the owner, followed by attentive service from the wait staff and the food was fabulous. We each had a salad to begin and they were both really tasty.
Restaurant very nice, not very large. They are very strict about the reservations-DONT want you to be late I think because limited seating and size-also asked where we were staying, I think for same reason. We went with four people, service was very attentive (one very serious unsmiling waiter but h
The owner is so adorable and happy to see anyone that comes in. When I told her we were new in town, she gave us a printed list of her favorite places. So cute. Also the service and food were excellent. We got the New Orleans platter and it was the perfect amount of samples of local cuisine.
My fiance and I dined at the Upper Line and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As part of the holiday tradition, we both ate from the Revilon menu and shared our plates. I had the Hot and Hot Piquant Shrimp and it was perfect, nuanced and delightful! Enjoyed the st claude oysters for appetizers, fish and

We all loved our experience eating at this special restaurant. The food was delicious, we had drum fish and lamb shank and the fried green tomatoes were so delish! The service was great and I loved the ambiance. The owner is quite the art collector and I am glad she loves to be surrounded by it and
Amazing food! One of my best meals ever.
Filled with local art and loyal patrons, dining at The Upperline is always a pleasure. The Peartini is delicious and not too sweet.
What a fantastic restaurant. The owner is there every night and she greets everyone as they arrive, dine, and leave. The space is beautiful with tons of art on the walls. The food is phenomenal with many out of this world selections. Try the oysters and the duck.
