The atmosphere was upbeat, happy and the food was the best I have had since before I left Florida. The raspberry tea was delicious too. So very thirst quenching on an unusually hot 90 degree day in May!
My husband and I stopped for a bite to eat Tuesday after attending a funeral. We're from Connecticut so we wanted a meal before driving home. Green Gables did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing, the prime rib was the best we ever had, big portions and amazing prices. We told the staff they should open a restaurant in Norwalk! Would love to know where they get the prime rib, would love to order it!

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants!! I love the owners and atmosphere of this restaurant! I had to go through my pictures and show a collection of food I have eaten there over the years. This is just a small selection of what I have had over the years. I look forward to coming back every time! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants the best food and service!! I encourage everyone to eat here at least once because I know you will be back even if you are from out of town when you are in the area I can guarantee you will have this on your list of places to return to.
If you need a place to have a reunion or office party etc they have an awesome pavilion out back where they have horse shoes, volleyball, corn hole as some call it but to me it will always be the good old fashioned bean bag toss hehe. If there are any questions the owners and staff are always willing to answer them. I do not have pictures of the shrimp scampi but wow that is fantastic and the caesar salad dressing is the best I have ever had. I just cannot say enough good thing about this restaurant! You won't regret coming here! Again I highly highly recommend coming here to Green Gables!!
Food was good...Beer was great...They have multiple craft beers on tap and in cans also...Bartender Pete was awesome and so was the waitress
After a very pleasant dinner, I went over by the creek and saw this. I had a great experience here. Excellent service!
The food second to grandma and no other!! Very generous portions we could not even finish but took togo trays and had dinner to. we switched meals and had double the great food and we also got dessert to go ho.ade rice pudding and cheesecake 😋mind blowing. Stop by you won't regret it!!!!
