My husband and I went into the Salt House after the show at the Bucks County Playhouse. We were not expecting to be seated but much to our surprise they were very accommodating. Nick couldn't have been kinder. It was my husbands birthday and it worked out so well. Food was very good. Price was normal for today's prices but plates were small but ok. I gave five Stars for a combination of service, atmosphere and food. Even the other patrons in the restaurant were friendly. Nick, thank you for a nice experience!

The food was absolutely delicious. Bacon wrapped dates & brussel sprouts for apps were both amazing. Marinated portobello vegetable sandwich was so flavorful. Loved the fries that came with it. My husband really liked his buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. The historic building is neat to enjoy while eating dinner. Charming place with delicious food! Beautiful bar too!

Great food! Bacon wrapped dates, shoe string fries, grilled artichokes, deviled eggs, crostini, oysters, cocktails and mock tails all delicious!!! We ate our food too fast to take pictures. Super polite waitstaff.

This is one of those restaurants that you will travel hours for a signature dish. That dish is their Steamed Mussels. OK, who travels for mussels? Usually mussels are not on my top 10 list but these are over-the-top in a great way.
We usually surround ourselves with fantastic appetizers like Duck Meatballs, Charred Brussels Sprouts, and Local Deviled Eggs. Then, finish off the meal with the mussels...never got to the rest of the menu but I'm sure everything is top notch.

I thought I was trying a new New Hope place only to learn it has been around for some years. Easy to miss without signage.
Other than that, easy pay parking near by.
Wonderful bartender OY, I think it
was Megan who also served our meal.
Artichoke app was great and the scallop entry was delicious. Worth a return. oh yeah, the special vodka cocktail was a very nice surprise. Had to add since we ventured back again. This time we sat upstairs. Drinks are pricey so if you want to maintain a reasonable bill don’t booze it up like we did. Our waiter John was amazing considering he seemed to be alone and bartending. He did make a boo-boo but nothing major. All the food was delicious.

Great food with colonial vibes. Right in the heart of New Hope, PA

Was greeted by the hostess worried about another walk-in that she would have to turn down, she instantly brighted up when we gave her our reservation info. This place had 30 calls to reserve dinner that day and for good reason, the meal was incredible. We had a 5:15 reservation and beat the crowd.
The dining room is on the 2nd floor of a historic building and it is cozy. Not the most comfortable, especially for larger guests, but very intimate. The hostess happily described her personal experiences with supernatural phenomenon with another guest, the waitress immediately was able to recommend dishes and drinks with great excitement, and the atmosphere was happy with the other guests. Just a minor note that the bathroom is very very tight down in the basement.
The meal itself blew us away. Another guest recommend the bacon wrapped dates and we would do the same to any other guests. We kept the gorgonzola cheese dip for the fries afterward. They are a gastropub, and so the cheeseburger was cooked sou vide. It was the most tender burger I had ever had. The crab cake sandwich was also phenomenal. The flourless chocolate cake was incredible. The mixed drinks were also unique and welcomed accompaniments to the meal.
Pricey and in need of a reservation, but if you are looking for an experience to remember in New Hope, this is definitely somewhere to be.

A great place to enjoy history along with great food and drinks while visiting New Hope. Everything we ate was delicious, and the atmosphere had us feeling like we’re back in the colonial times. Can’t wait to come back.

Food was very good, staff friendly and professional. We shared the artichokes, bacon wrapped dates, and chicken sandwiches. Speciality drinks very good also.
Only complaint was going to the bathroom that smelled of bleach, but figured it had just been cleaned. The next day I noticed spots on my pants, yep bleach. Wanted to write to management/owner, but couldn't find contact info. Beware.

Absolutely incredible. Wonderful drinks and the food was wonderful. We had the mussels, marinated artichokes and the celery & fennel salad. New favorite restaurant. I will gladly travel back from CA to visit The Salt House again.
