There's not one thing NOT to like about Fred's.. casual, on the river front place. All seats are at counter.. great menu variety. Breads, bagels and sweets are all made on premisis... best cinnamon buns ever. Coffee unlimited and friendly service. If you're look for "formal upscale" then pass this place. If you're looking for home neighborhood atmosphere and great food, then make a point to get there!

Once upon a time I went down to Georgia and there I went to Waffle House for the first time. I loved it. I really just loved it and so desperately wanted one or something like it in this area, but Waffle House isn't around here. It was then that I was introduced to Fred's, and my cravings were more than satisfied. There is nothing on the menu at Fred's that doesn't impress. The pancakes are gigantic and fluffy, the french toast is fantastic (not that puffy cardboard you get at diners!), the sausages are fat and juicy, when you order bacon you get a small plate of it.... It's fantastic. I come here every week. The food is always great. The service is always great. Fred's is always great, period, and they keep looking to do more!

The wait was long but the food was well worth the wait. The breakfast skillet meal was the best. And the pancakes were cooked to perfection.

I have been a member for about two years now! The only thing better than the food at Fred's is sharing the experience with a friend. I have introduced quite a few people to Fred's. Everyone agrees it is something special. From the home made everything to the cool vibe the place has on a busy morning. I like the wait staff and the owner is super nice guy as well. Fred's really is something special. FYI the blueberry pancakes are the best thing on the menu. Shhhh don't tell the pancake of the month that!

Best breakfast place in America! Delicious home cooked food and killer views of the Delaware located in a first rate river town.

Wandered into the place after a night in Lambertville. One of the best breakfasts that I've ever had. Fortunate to speak a bit with Chris about past dogs & life. Now I understand why the seemingly simple door was locked! Thought that it was me!

Delicious!! So worth the wait in line, although we went mid-week and walked straight in :-) Excellent freshly made doughnuts (who knew eggs and bacon in a doughnut would be so tasty!) abd really good waffle sandwich. The staff were super nice and helpful and divided the excellent s'mores pancakes up for our kids. My only two complaints were the freshly squeezed OJ was not great, and they only have bar seating, which is not ideal for smaller kids. Will definitely go back next time we're near New Hope!

The restaurant that your cardiologists told you not to go to. But heck, you have to be bad once and a while. GREAT food. Great view of the river. Worth the time. Can’t wait to go back. Sorry doc!

Great staff, restaurant and breakfast. I was told later on that you need a membership to get in to this place, but we just walked in during our visit. No one stopped us. And I'm so glad they didn't. I'll consider myself lucky especially since it was my birthday week.

Great local breakfast spot. The food is really good and you get unlimited free coffee. You can even bring your own coffee mug and leave it for next time. They will sing happy birthday, with the help of the owners dogs! Pretty cool view of the Delaware. Parking is a little tight.

Small breakfast spot right by the river. Kindve tucked away in the back so hard to find. It's the small green building. Had really fair prices and the food was very high quality. You need to try the Sweet Potato home fries!!

An out of the way place. There's no sign on the building. In an old garage right on the river with views of the Delaware & the bridge to NJ. Great food and friendly staff.

Great place! It is weird looking when walking in and quite busy. Service was nice and welcoming. Ordered a chorizo omelet which was fresh tasting and delicious. Ordered the pumpkin pancakes, phenomenal. The regular pancakes were ginormous. Very well priced for the huge portions they give.

Love this place. Always super friendly, yes the establishment has dogs in there occasionally (in their own separate room) available to pet, not every day but a few times a week. This place is a staple for me and my family to go to on a weekend, it is "private" but anyone is welcome, someone will just have to open the door for you if you're not a member, and its busy enough on the weekends you wouldnt have any problem getting someone to do that

This is a great place to have breakfast. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious.! The atmosphere is lively and the staff is accommodating. The only thing is that I wish they had more space. A bit crowded eating at the bar and not much elbow room.

We LOVE this place!! We haven’t been since Covid, so I’m not sure how things have changed, but the atmosphere & food are incredible. You simultaneously get views of the Delaware and of your food being made. Everything on the menu is creative and sounds delicious- I consistently reference it & try to recreate some of their items on my own :) Great little gem!

Fred's is such a unique breakfast experience. Yes, you do need to be a member to get in regularly (members are given keys that allow access to the restaurant), but you can always knock on the door for the first time and they'll let you right in to try! Fred's has a comfy, family oriented atmosphere where you wait to sit at the bar where you watch your food being made and get to chat with the servers. We haven't yet had a bad food experience, and their pancakes are to die for if you love thick, fluffy buttermilk pancakes. Also, you have to try their cinnamon buns, so light and fluffy, and not too sweet. There are so many more great things to say about Fred's, special little touches that make their dinning experience one you'll want to come back to, but I'll leave you to find out more for yourself!
