Let me tell you. Regardless of occasion or orientation, this is a absolutely great establishment. You won’t find a more welcoming staff, a better patio or more perfect fries than at the 168 York Street Cafe.
My wife and I , lesbian couples , was treated very poorly at this establishment. From the moment I walked in this place it was a disaster. I paid for “ vip seating” .. $150 ! And there was no seats available, went to the bar .. no service. Completely ignored. And when another customer suggest to the
Love this place! Very chill vibes, easy to meet and chat with people. Great outdoor space in the back. The food is good and beer selection is decent.
Went there after a bad experience at another gay bar- Trevor lounge I think, and this pace was much better. Good drinks and nice people.
I don't feel that this bar is open to all members of the LGBTQ community. I recently visited with my fiance and was ignored by the bartender and given many dirty looks from male gay customers. I've yet to find lesbian bar in New Haven and thought that York Street Cafe would at least be a safe place
Great place for Sunday brunch! Mimosa pitchers for $12! Lots of food for reasonable prices! Check it out!

A great place to socialize. Friendly bartenders and a down to earth crowd. The prices are fair and reasonable and the atmosphere is pleasant.
