We live nearby and went here for a Saturday dinner. The atmosphere&service is great! We ordered the meatball which is wonderful. Both me and my boyfriend loved the food and will definitely be returning soon!
One of the more refined dining options in Yale area, the place is almost always full as it serves lovely Italian dishes with friendly and warm service. The meatballs is reputed to be a state winning dish. Everything we ordered was incredibly well made and delicious. Truly a treasure of a restaurant.
I ordered 2 meals and it wasn't good at all! I spent including tip 90.00 dollars. I asked for no capers in the meal scaloppini di Pollo, it was loaded with capers and the chicken was hard and tasted uncooked. I was at Basta Trattoria on 3/31, during restaurant week. Excellent menu and very efficient service. The place is also quite nice.
They serve the most authentic Italian food around here! Their pasta, appetizers and desserts are amazing. Extremely friendly owner and crew.
