This is what you would expect from a small town ice cream shop that has been around for decades. Great ice cream with an enormous selection and one of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced in an ice cream shop. They only take cash or check though, that is why they only get a rating of 4.
Awesome ice cream! Fun family place and a must stop while in town :) staff is always friendly, even when it's crazy busy. Lots of fun trinkets all over the place. Just a fun, yummy stop :) best sweets in town!
Old Fashioned awesomeness. Long lines,but efficient. Pricey yet worth it. Loads of memorabilia. Perfect family stop. I had the butterscotch chip. Amazing.
Very small, crowded place, but the ice cream was delicious. The shop itself is very unique in decoration, but it's small and super crowded so it's hard to enjoy that.
Always a fun place full of character and awesome ice cream. Good fast service. They really know how to move the crowds through there smoothly.
Always busy but FAST service with their "pick a number" plan. Have TONS of hard ice cream flavors including my hard to find favorite, choc PB, and 2 kinds of cookie dough ice cream. Crazy busy decor lends to the friendly welcoming atmosphere.

Visiting New Buffalo, MI and walked around all day so we wanted to stop in to get some ice cream after seeing TikTok videos about this place. Service was quick- you enter the store and pull a number for your group. The person then call out the number to take your order. It can get crowded inside the store and if it does, you won’t be able to freely move around to take your time to pick flavors hence why I highly recommend you look at the menu before you enter the store.
We ordered the blueberry burst, strawberry cheesecake and the salty jack ice cream in waffle cones. One scoop was enough: it was a really big scoop! The ice creams were super creamy, super delicious, and easy to lick. The ice creams was not too sweet which is a plus.
I was traveling from Charleston, SC wedding for a friends wedding. She recommended this place for a thousand reasons but also mentioned how much the piggy collection reminded her of my grandmas house in Chicago. I was amazed by all the cute variety of piggy’s, it totally helped me feel right at home. Everyone got ice cream and I headed over to the candy shop side. Super great selection and lots of fun knickknacks! I bought a pig nose and toffee. It was THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. The owner was super friendly and very kind. Thank you for a great experience!!! Seems like a local gem!
We came here from Chicago and word in the street was this place... was the place to visit. The best ice-cream I have ever had. Had the pumpkin and banana pudding and HAD FLAVOR. MY TASTE BUDS WERE HAPPY. They had cool vintage decorations.

Delighted by the fantastic ice cream and the charming decorations inside! Ample parking is a plus. Although they were out of my initial ice cream choice, the alternative was still delicious. A minor hiccup couldn't overshadow the overall delightful experience. A sweet spot worth visiting!
One of two independent ice creameries in New Buffalo; this one was recommended to us. Well-established place with townsfolk as well as tourists. Many ice cream flavor choices. Quality of ice cream was excellent. They use a "take a number" as you come in system to manage the crowds and when we were there (twice) it worked really well.

Came here with family to get some after dinner treats, and it did not disappoint! This was my first time here and you could definitely tell this place was a unique, local shop with a lot of character and history - the building is fully decorated with signs and knick knacks. I believe when I went it said it's been there for 37 years! I was surprised to see not just how many flavors they had, but also the different dietary restrictions they accommodate (dairy free, gluten free, sugar free). You take a ticket number when you go in (old fashioned) and they do allow samples if you're unsure. My partner and I got dairy free chocolate (super delicious!) and her family members got dairy options that they all loved. The scoops are big here - me and my partner got kid scoops and that was a lot for us! Overall, a very fun and unique local ice cream shop that we'd love to return to whenever we're in the area!
