Came here on a Sunday night and got seated right away. This place was definitely hopping. It seems to have a large local following.
This was our first time here and the food was cooked to perfection. They had the best fried pickles I’ve had and the food was hot and fresh. The crab cakes were large and full of crab meat. The green beans were cooked and seasoned just right. My soup was hot and my husband sandwich was really delicious. Our waitress was very on top on our needs and the portions were huge.
The restaurant seems to have been a round a long time and could use a little update with the carpeting.
Upon arrival, my initial impression was one of skepticism due to the limited space at the entrance. It did not feel very inviting. However, our concerns were quickly dispelled as we were warmly greeted and promptly escorted to our seats. We were seated upstairs, which provided a unique and charming atmosphere that added to our dining experience. Our waitress surpassed our expectations with impeccable service throughout the meal.
The food itself was nothing short of amazing, leaving us with smiles on our faces from the moment we began eating. The menu offered a diverse range of options, and the portion sizes were just right for the prices. While their beer selection was somewhat limited, their cocktails were fantastic, adding to the enjoyment of the evening.
During our visit, my husband mentioned that this would be a wonderful place to bring our parents when they come to visit. With that in mind, we are definitely planning to return in the future.
First time back here in a very long time. Atmosphere was cool. Not to loud. Plenty of seating. No wait. Service was excellent and prompt. Sample Plater for appetizer. The Boneless Buffalo Wings were great. Hot Hamburger Plate for the main course. (Double) It was really good, but bring your appetite… or ask for a to-go box. You’ll need it. Prices were as expected. We came to Annabelle's for Sunday lunch. We made the mistake of not making a reservation for our party of 8. They were busy and it was an hour wait. But the host & manager made sure to check in with us every few mints to assure us that they were always working on getting us a table. Once we were sat, our server was nice and funny. He joked around with us while giving excellent service. They offered a variety of different meals, so there was something for everyone. The food was great. It's always a plus when a restaurant can cook my steak correctly, which they did. Definitely will be back again.
The shrimp & grits, and chicken fried steak were delicious! The spicy bloody Mary could have had a bit more flavor but was ultimately fine. I didn't get a picture but my Dad really likes the seafood quiche and my stepmom really liked the burger.
The service was good with the server being attentive but not overly so.
The atmosphere was dated and the sun was shining directly into my Dad's eyes and when we tried to adjust the slide down blind to remedy the issue we were told it couldn't be done and may fall.
If you can ignore the atmosphere, the rest of your experience will be a good one because the food and service are great. 😃
Annabelle's has good food. Service is good. Nice atmosphere. Good menu variety from steaks to pastas. Drink menu is a little slim other than wines. Lunch and dinner options. You can get a good meal without breaking the bank here. It is connected to the New Bern Mall, so there is plenty of parking. It can be really crowded for dinner.
Our drinks and food were good. Our waitress Aubrey was nice, informative, and took care of us. The only complaint I have is I had a lot of cucumber in my buffalo shrimp wrap. It was very overpowering. I had to take a lot of it out. Other than that everything was great.
Great place for food, friends, and family. The food was really good (shrimp and grits). The service was outstanding (thank you Curtis). The price was right.
Fiesta Salmon done to perfection and a Shepards Pie to fall in love with. Quick service delivered by kind and happy servers. Fantastic host and hostess to welcome us. A wonderful choice for our 30th Anniversary!
We come here on a regular basis. This place is Awesome. They have been in business for many years in New Bern. There food is so consistent. I usually get the Ribeye medium cooked with a mixed vegtagle medley or Potato.
Shrimp and chicken combo meal was fantastic! Fried shrimp was juicy and flavorful with fabulous crispy coating. Shepherds Pie was flavorful and delicious. Attentive and courteous service. Always a pleasure to eat here.
Crab cakes were excellent, twice the size of the one at Persimmons. They were equally as good tasting, but you get only one small crabcake at Persimmons, but two large ones at Annabelle's. My wife had shrimp and grits, also excellent. And great service, as well.
Lunch with a friend. Had the sirloin tips on rice with summer squash. Large menu, reasonable prices. Busy at lunchtime but service is friendly and quick.
