Famous Baking Co. is my go to wedding cake baker in the area! They are just as talented with their baking as they are the artistry that goes into decorating them. They respond to all communication so quickly, and are great to work with!
Famous Subs is a good place to grab a lunch or a light dinner. Prices are reasonable. Has a varied menu aside from wine choices and most food items are delicious. I do really enjoy their veggie sub. In fact, as I am typing this, I want one! I had a veggie pizza recently as carry out and found it to be delicious.
Warning: Their fries are the worse. But simple chips that comes with subs and other sandwiches are always good. They are just Lays - but always fresh.
Service is generally friendly and efficient. Found this weekend’s visit to be lacking as my sub arrived after others were almost finished with their meals. And yes, it was that rare time that I was soooo hungry. But they were busy and it won’t keep me from returning.
The bakery is disappointing. All looks pretty. But aside from a cookie, I have not found bread or desserts to be enjoyable. But I should add that I have not tried it in maybe 4 years due to earlier experiences. So maybe it has improved.
I ordered a marble sheet cake with whipped icing for a party. It was the best cake I’ve ever had, seriously! I provided the print for the middle of the cake, and they did the colors on the outside. They knocked the decoration out of the park. The cake was devoured in 20 minutes. Everyone loved it!
Finally made it here and it didn't disappoint. Hubby ordered the baked ziti with extra meatballs and he inhaled it. I had the spanakopita and it has the right balance of spinach and feta. The puff pastry could be a little less toasty but still quite tasty. Our waitress was very attentive considering it was lunchtime.
We moseyed over to their bakery and were greeted with that heavenly smell of freshly baked goodies. Too many to choose from but finally settled on a cheesecake, mixed very almond cake and raspberry thumbprint. Will definitely come back to try the rest.
Gals at the counter are super sweet! I come here for a cannoli after my monthly infusions at the hospital. It makes my day and gives me something to look forward to after a not so fun medical trip. The cannolis are SO good. And the baklava rolls are delish too!
The realization I have never submitted a review for this gem of a Greek/Italian restaurant eludes me at the moment. Possibly because I wanted to keep it all to myself... But, just as I learned to share my toys when younger I must share what almost every American has missed out on their entire life, and that is Famous! From the most delectable baked goods and sauces since your Garndma donned an apron to some of the kindest and most attentive wait staff. Worth the trip, go our of your way to visit and DO NOT forget to walk into the attached bakery. Ohhhh, and truth be told, I never liked sharing my toys... 😁
Love this bakery and really happy with the added savory selections, would like a bit more feta in the spinach pie but it was still really good. Love that they have pumpkin choices, and the pumpkin roll and cheesecake are both fabulous. Have been happy with everything have ever gotten at the bakery.
I was planning a surprise birthday dinner for my husband and we had a party of 11 people. I contacted Famous and they were able to make a reservation for all of us on a Saturday night. I was also able to order one of the YUMMY signature cakes from their bakery. The service was awesome throughout the entire evening, from the entire staff.
My daughter-in-law, my grandson and I had dinner at Famous this evening. Food is always good. But tonight, I had the best waitress I've ever had in all my years of dining out. We would have driven any other waitress nuts but, DAWNA, went with the flow. She gave excellent service, had a great sense of humor and was so sweet and kind. We loved her!!! Enjoy your next visit to Famous and I hope you are lucky enough to be served by Dawna. ❤️
Sure, you can get pizza here, and grinders/subs/hoagies. But, you can also get great salads, a super Reuben, spanikopita, and lots of other pasta treats and entrees. Everyone can find something wonderful. Plus great service! If you are one of their favorite customers you may even earn a coupon for a discount at the bakery. (Get the sourdough!)
I love coming to Famous! The service is prompt and the food is good. I’ve tried almost every category of their menu. Subs, pizza, pasta, and salads are each delicious! I really love all the options in their bakery. The bakery workers are kind and creative and even offer coffee. I had a wonderful iced pumpkin s’mores latte yesterday that was a sweet change from the typical pumpkin spice!
The manicotti was good. It needed sweet basil and oregano. Maybe garlic. Fairly bland. I asked for Italian sausage with it and it was a whole sausage thrown in the sauce. It would be better if it were uncased and in small bites within the whole dish. My companion had a sandwich and it was dry. He asked if they had something to dip it in. They gave him a house dressing. Our waitress was great. Very friendly and actually laughed at jokes. Previously we had antipasto salads. There was one kind of meat. Very salty salami? Beef? It was overwhelming. It needed some less salty meats to blend a bit. Pretty good but could be better.
I ordered a cake and cupcakes for my grandmother's 90th birthday party hosted last year and I was excited when I picked it up. It was beautiful and everyone loved it. The cake was delicious as well. Thanks, Famous. Sorry for the late review. 😅 😊
1st time here. Attendant was nice and very appreciative of everyone within sight. So many choices. The Apple Pecan Cake was delicious and well balanced. The Death by Chocolate was right on. Coffee is available, but the lack of decaf unless you're in the restaurant was slightly disappointing. Having it available may have enticed us to eat in... possibly leading to us giving in to some of the cookies as well. ($$$) Something to think about, but won't hold it against them. Great bakery overall.
GF and I had been to view Moon of Flower Killers at close by Bruins Theater. Opted to have early dinner and were not disappointed. Food and service just as good as when we attended monthly Gold Wing Chapter meeting in years gone by.
Great food and great service. I think the lasagna portion I received for my order was the largest portion of lasagna I've ever received at any restaurant where I've ordered lasagna. And it was wonderful! The piece of garlic bread that came with it was wonderful, too!
I've been eating there for years. Our group meets there on Friday. We love Donna - she always knows what we want/need.
Only negative, they no longer have dolmades...my favorite 🫤
Such a massive serving with both appetizer and main course (had Ziti).
Service fast and friendly. Food HOT!
We stopped at the attached Bakery and wasn't unhappy with that decision. I'm heading back again soon! And Bakery will be my go to for my sweet tooth. You'll regret it if you decide to skip.
