Madeira Cafe - New Bedford - Photo album

A nice example of a small family run Portuguese restaurant in the New Bedford area. The food is very good and can be a good value, depending on the dish. Service is quirky. Not the best place to go if you are planning to stay with your friends to chat after finishing the meal. One gets the unsubtle
I was at Madeira for the 1st time and ordered shrimp mosambique which i was worried cuz anywhere i go it's never marinated to perfection...well..it was even better than mine! And my husband had salmon...it was delicious. Restaurant was clean, people were very friendly..going again!!

Very good food. The code fish gom sa is the BEST I've had in the city. Its just to bad this place is hidden away off a main road. Great for big parties as its never to crowded for a last minute large reservation. I'll keep coming back.
I enjoyed chicken Mozambique. I love Portuguese pop rolls were delicious. It's was my first time been there. I plan coming back soon.
Amazing food. Friendly staff. There's always new interesting surprises on their specials menu. Do yourself a favor and try the cacoila pizza.
Good food and cheap prices, however service was very slow when we visited (Friday 5:30). Big bar and pool tables and a friendly staff round it out as a solid spot.
