FANTASTIC FOOD AND PLACE. THE BEST TOURNEDO THAT I HAVE EVER EATEN. SPECTACULAR KIDS MENU.
Absolutely wonderful meal and experience. Food was flawless, cocktails were crafted perfectly, everyone was very friendly and kind, and the restaurant itself was beautiful inside and out. I do hope they will fix their driveway way before our next visit. A most go for excellent dining in the Berkshires.
If you enjoy red wine you are likely to be disappointed. I was-- tried several, then went with white. The food was DELICIOUS the service was friendly and welcoming. My friend said I didn't speak for a while, enjoying the flavors soaked in perfection. Make no mistake this is a gem of a restaurant.
We sat at the bar the other night, in this romantic, beautiful restaurant with softly flattering lighting. I had the delicious Jalisco Pear cocktail. My impeccable salad was perfectly tossed and lightly coated with dressing---not common these days when dressing is almost always dumped on top or in a side cup. My sweetbreads were wonderfully delicious--tender, a little crisp, rich, deeply flavored. Service is both warm and highly professional. I wish sometimes that there were more variety on the menu, but on the other hand I don't ever want this restaurant to change much. My favorite in the area.
Delicious food and warm service in a cozy atmosphere .I went for dinner with my wife after hearing great things for years. We both enjoyed their onion soup and a surprise for me , sweet and buttery sweetbreads !! Order the rack of lamb, it's cooked to perfection .

We had a surprise birthday party here for my mother. The food was pretty good. I tried snails for the first time, not bad. Our server was the best, and very cute and funny. I should of asked what her name was.
We went to The Mill one Summer for our date night and had a really lovely time. The staff was friendly and kind and the restaurant was so cozy and inviting. We decided to sit at the bar and our bartender Tim was great!! He gave us a few appetizer and drink suggestions that didn't disappoint. In fact, my husband still craves pomatinis now and then haha. It's a fancier restaurant, so expect to pay more than the average night out if you're going for a full meal, but the food and the staff are well worth it. We had a truly wonderful time and look forward to going back as soon as life permits.
Really neat place just off of route 2 - a bit of a surprise to be honest. It looks like an old New England home both inside and out - really spectacular at night when the light are bright on the trees. Food is really great and pretty standard in terms of variety. Expect good food with some flair, but it is traditional and that part is apparent. Tried and trues, and so if that's what you're looking for this is your place. If you're looking for a more exciting modern place maybe look somewhere else. With that being said, I really like this place and think it's often over looked. Food comes out on little rolly-trays and all of that. It's a fun experience, and feels like you're in a different life.
Lovely old New England setting with traditional French food. Nothing new or innovative, just simply delicious. I had the tenderloin with garlic sauce and my husband had the beef with Bearnaise. We both were practically licking our plates! We also both really liked the potato, and the vegetable medley was fine.
I learned of the Mill on the Floss 30 years ago and have never been disappointed. The delicious menu coupled with the friendly staff make you feel like a part of their familyas they greet you warmly and prepare meals to remember. Being able to enjoy a night at "The Mill" is a true treasure each time we have been. The crab cake, lamb and duck are among our favorites.....not to mention the hazelnut torte. We are so lucky to have an establishment of this caliber in our region.
I had the duck l'orange. The breast meat was a tad overdone but tender and the sauce was spot on. The leg portion was perfect and the skin was great. My wife had the seafood special of shrimp, crab and haddock in a leek cream sauce which she said was ' one of the best meals she ever had". The after dinner martinis were delicious as well. Too bad they are located in such a remote area. Truly a gem.
Another amazing trip to Vermont to eat at my favorite Restaurant!! If you want to dine in a Vermont atmosphere with an amazing staff and a menu selection that is absolutely wonderful then this is the place to visit. Thank you once again Mill On the Floss for another great experience. Looking forward to my next visit!!!
Delicious meal..good service. Was disapointed to find that an expensive restaurant doesn't have hi-chairs or a diaper changing area. I understand that they may not see many babies but I am sure after our family celebration dinner tonight they can afford a couple of hi-chairs and a place to change a diaper. Again food was excellent but does not cater to the whole family.
Love the champagne family and their decades of fabulous food, frexh country atmosphere and perfectly shaken Martini. The fillet mignon, the rack of lamb and roast duck are my favorite entrees and to start off order the crab cakes and escargots with James Bond's favorite libation Bombay Sapphire Xtra dry martini, shaken not stirred...this meal will take 2-3 hours to properly enjoy..and save room for mousse au chocolat and a great cup of coffee...bon appetit!
Literally the best plate of food I've ever had in my life! It was everything and more. Very small romantic place with a little bar with nice wine . I'd love to revisit

Superb, as always! The atmosphere is lovely and charming. Service is wonderful. I always make this a go-to dining place when I'm in the area.
