Review Hamburger Depot - Nederland

Hamburger Depot exceeded my expectations with its unassuming exterior. Despite the dated appearance, the burgers turned out to be a delightful surprise – generously sized and bursting with delicious flavors. I'm glad I gave it a chance, proving that looks can be deceiving when it comes to this gem of a burger joint. Returning with my son, who shared my initial skepticism about the place's appearance, he too was pleasantly surprised. Despite his initial reservations and a preference for Whataburger, his mood shifted when he laid eyes on his burger. By the end of the meal, he declared Hamburger Depot superior to his beloved Whataburger, solidifying this spot as a new favorite for both of us.

I've been here numerous times and I've always loved their food. The only issue I had the last time I went was that they didn't cook the burger well done. It was pink in the middle. I know some people enjoy their food cooked that way but I am not one of them. Especially hamburgers. I got my food to go and didn't realize it wasn't thoroughly cooked until I got home and started eating it. Ended up having to throw most of it away. Other than that, I totally recommend this place. Excellent burgers...for the most part

The burgers are always so good. The meat is thick and flavorful. I'm sensitive to a lot of spices and seasoning so I'll tell them no to put so much cajun seasoning on the fries. They're good though, just like the homemade onion rings.

Lots of options. Love the dill pickle spears. Not the best burger I've had, but pretty good.

I Googled places to eat from my location in the Beaumont area when we were traveling & this was a suggestion. From the outside it wasn't impressive BUT it's like not judging a book by it's cover. If you have a large group or maybe a little league team there's plenty of seating. Wow they have great burgers & hands down the BEST onion rings we've ever eaten! Hand battered and thick cut. They aren't beer battered but it doesn't matter. The portions are generous and prices are very reasonable; esp for the amount of food you receive (note the GIANT burgers in my pics). I had the mushroom Swiss & my Dad had the chili cheese burger and we shared the rings. We will definitely make a point to return the next time we're in the "Golden Triangle" area. It's that good. Note that this is not directly off the highway but about a mile down. Definitely worth the extra couple of minutes drive though. I laughed out loud @ the hand washing sign in the bathroom (see pic). In case the employees can't read?! 😂 Actually, I think every restaurant should have such a detailed sign - I've certainly been in some I'd feel better about if they did 😉

Great cheeseburger joint. The salads are awesome as well. This is the best burger place in Mid County area!

Burger is really good. Great flavor. But meat has so much grease dripping from the burger I couldn't finish it. It got way to messy. Other than that it was great! Update: just had another burger. I asked them to drain some of the grease off the patty which they were more than happy to do. It was the best hamburger I have had in a while!

Absolutely the best hamburgers in the area and less expensive than big chain drive-thru options. Highly recommended!!!

Good Burger. Worth a try

Food was good but too expensive for size of burger and way too expensive to add drink and fries. It's cheaper at subway to add sides there. Also, an extra 50 cents to add a few sprinkles to make it cajun fries is highway robbery.

I visited the restaurant for the second time recently. I have been getting the sunrise burger with pepperjack cheese. This establishment has the best burgers I have found in a long time. I plan to visit so much more. The employees were extremely kind, friendly, and inviting. I recommend this place for anyone that wants some fantastic food!

Great service and delicious food. Chili cheese fries were awsome & my chicken salad was the bomb.

Long wait to order due to no cashier, and fries under cooked. Burger was delicious!! Will go back.

Great food. Combo meals average around 12 bucks and easily worth it.

Did a delivery nearby Hamburger Depot from Houston. I can't wait to come back ! The ladies were nice and those onion rings & burgers! Just awesome! My son and me will be craving you guys until next time.
