I was invited to a special group dinner so there wasn't a wait for my first visit.
The restaurant is beautiful. It has great charm and is quite the place to enjoy the company of others.
I ordered the salmon, which was prepared perfectly. The flavors were popping and the squash was a star on its own. I ordered the cheesecake for dessert. Wowza.
I can't speak about prices, but I'll say it's worth a visit.

Such a stunning view and gorgeous traditional decor! The food was delicious and our waiter was most attentive. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was perfect! The kitchen somehow fumbled our main entree which delayed the arrival of our dinner. The waiter took complete responsibility and offered a delicious dessert to make up for the extended wait. All in all we had a lovely meal and plan to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here! I have high standards when it comes to steak and steakhouses. After seeing some of the reviews I felt like a lot of the negativity was about the prices.. but it’s a steakhouse inside of a resort, so. We focused all our attention on the quality and we were incredibly happy with what we got. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable and the steaks were cooked perfectly! We got a perfect view of the atrium and watched the Paint me a Fairytale show as we had dinner. I’m obsessed with all things princesses, so this was such an added bonus! The only hiccup (if you can even call it that) we encountered was that I ordered an 8oz filet but got a 6oz. I didn’t really notice a difference as I was still very full at the end of the meal and I am glad I didn’t get the larger size. I only noticed it once we got the check, but in the end it was better to save the 20$ as I would’ve been too full. We even got a little note from the steakhouse thanking us for the visit sent to our hotel room. It was a very nice touch! I’d recommend a meal here to anyone, especially if you’re staying at the resort, for quality dining with excellent service.

Best steak I've ever had my life. Once you go waygu it's hard to go back to regular steak. I've had three steaks since I left this place and I can't stop thinking about the waygu. The oysters are very good and clean tasting. I really enjoyed my couple visits to this restaurant during my stay at the Gaylord.
The MacAllen 15 was great. I could smell it from where it was sitting on the table and it went down smooth.

We ordered bbq pork belly, filet mignon w/ a side of vegetables& mashed potatoes and a bottle of wine. Everything was SO delicious! I highly recommend. The free bread and spread was really great too. Our server, Happy, was very friendly and helped us feel very welcome. I have no complaints. Will definitely be back😊

This used to be my husband’s favorite celebration restaurant until this past Sunday. We had a 5:30pm reservation for a group of 7. We we were seated around 5:40pm. There were only two other people in the dining area with us. We ordered appetizers, soups, salads which came out very timely. By then, the dining room started to crowd with several other guests. We ordered our meals, all steak dinners, and proceeded to wait. Most the other tables which arrived after us received their meals, not appetizers, before us. We asked our server who complained to the kitchen. He sent the manager to our table who acknowledged that we had waited for nearly an hour. Our food finally came. We had a person in our party who is a Marriott employee and we had already confirmed that he would be able to use his discount. We had to ask for additional consideration for our bill due to the long wait. I feel our meal should have been complimentary, though I know $700 for three steak dinners and appetizers isn’t a small amount. As a Marriott elite rewards member, I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. I must say Marriott is slipping a bit.

This was the worst food I've ever tasted. Wasted 208.00 on a steak, Mac and cheese, and horrible kale salad that didn't have any kale in it with even less Ceasar dressing. The pumpkin risotta was lukewarm and flavorless. The only thing eatable was the bread pudding. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was out of the box with a watery cheese sauce at best. The rockfish had absolutely no seasoning. Everything was bland. The server was wonderful so we tipped him well. However, we don't recommend this food for human or animal consumption.

Today my wife and I went to the Old Hickory at the Gaylord National Harbor for our Anniversary. The welcome at the entrance was superb. The Rockfish was cooked to perfection and the wine was good.
Now for the areas of concern. The table cloths and napkins were very worn, thus, our clothes were full of lint from the white linen napkins and tablecloth. The seat covers were worn and needed replacing. My $78.00 Kansas Strip steak was very tough. I have received a better cooked steak at Sweet Water and Texas Road House for half the price. I do no mind paying the price if it aligns with the quality of the meal. Although, I live in this area, I will not return.
