I don’t know if it’s a new ownership or any other situation but the food quality is just not the same of over a decade ago when I first tried the place at the Natick mall. On today’s visit(order no. 15 at 2:13pm) the flat grill was very dirty and raw chicken was cooked right on top of burned residues, the veggies were also burned, the chicken was dry and overcooked, the teriyaki sauce was watery and the overall taste was not great at all. If I wasn’t late to go back to work I would have asked for my money back. That used to get a good place if you’re looking for value but the lost of quality is becoming more and more evident over the years. To bad, competition says thank you!!!

Today I went to try and get the sushi rolls. The girl told me it was going to be 20-25 minutes and didn't seem to like that i was willing to wait. She asked if i was sure and after I replied yes she seemed annoyed. I then asked if she wanted me to go somewhere else and she started saying "well they're just starting the fish"... so i just said fine i'll go elsewhere. very disappointed. It was 12:30 and this is also the third time i've tried to get sushi there and once they were out of rice and the time before that they weren't going to be ready for an hour.

I love the Sarku Japan’s new sushi 🍣 stand next to hibachi style cooktop! I do like the convenience of ordering sushi and chicken 🍗 teriyaki together at the same time instead of standing in line twice like in other places that have separate systems for sushi and other food. The 🍱 bento boxes 📦 are incredible for the price less than $10.

Every good review here is fake and from employees fake accounts. Worst Japanese food I’ve ever had, they fill your plate with old cabbage and dusty rice. Don’t go here. I asked them why my vegetable medley was a pound of cabbage and one slice of carrot and one broccoli and they showed me their conveyor belt of cabbage. Not the cooks fault I’m sure but this food is hot garbage. Good if you want to feed livestock maybe but not humans.
