Au Bon Pain

You can't give this place 1 star! First, you get such a good deal with soup + sandwich+ coffee combo. Good luck getting a meal for $10 elsewhere. Second, you get free coffee refills. Third, staffs are nice, but they tend to be recent immigrants. Just tell them what you want! This place won me over when we had a massive snow storm in Jan 2018. Au Bon Pain was the only place open (briefly) and hungry people were saved!

I've tried this place 3 times in the last 4 months and every time it's a disappointment. This place is like a subway with young kids working here and talking about boyfriend and girlfriend drama and they are lost on what they are supposed to do. Every time I come here they never have the daily soups available, or ran out of a specific item for the sandwich. The place is rundown and dirty and trying to be a Panera when it will never come close. This is definitely my last time eating here, I'll drive to Panera to get exactly what I want for a fraction of the price.

Natick Mall is one of my favorite hang out spots, and after a few hours of shopping my friend and I wanted a nice, cheap meal to eat. When we walked in it was clear that the cashier didn't want to have any interaction. I ordered a Black Bean Burger and my friend ordered a Chicken Avocado sand which. After being disgusted by watching the pre-cooked food slapped onto bread what we were to receive was nothing short of a disappointment . I ordered a burger and I received a turkey sandwich after much confusion and many tries to recive what I paid for. My friend, who ordered a chicken sandwich was passed a Caesar salad. They were also quite heavy handed with the mayo.

Terrible experience. Staff was unfriendly and uninterested in customers. Waited until staff was finished fooling around with other employees to be waived on. Most tables were unwashed and had food and trash on them. Order was incorrect and preparer argued with me about the order and corrected it without an apology or any dialog for that matter. The store was nearly empty, no excuse for this. My husband works at the mall and says this is the norm at this location.
