Seriously best steak I’ve ever had!! Pretty on point margarita too!! Excellent service!! Can’t wait to go back!!
Stopped in here for impromptu dinner when friends and I ended up in Natchitoches yesterday on a whim. I had the redfish and my spouse had the seafood stew. Friends had fried oysters and shrimp. Everything was prepared perfectly and the place was packed with locals enjoying their dinners and visiting with others. I thought the steak prices were a bit high but other than that, I was impressed. The owner was visible and visiting with customers. I was pleased with the choice we made to go there.
What can I say, been here 3 times & never disappointed. Yes it's a little pricey, but I believe you pay about 30 something dollars for a filet Copeland's & they have gone way down hill. Mayeaux's is Great & a great atmosphere. I definitely recommend it!
There are so many great things I can say about this restaurant!! Our server was knowledgeable and was quick on her feet! Everyone got their dinner at the same time.. Everything from our appetizer to our main entre was Top Notch!!!! Best place to go for a flavorful meal..
From the time you walk in the door the staff greets you with welcoming smiles and friendliness! The owner is super cool he's always making sure everyone in the restaurant is pleased and are enjoying themselves! I love how the chef came to our table to ask us how our steaks were which was an easy answer because the house ribeyes are delicious! The lemon chess pie with ice cream oh my gosh!!
We’ve been there several times since they opened and food is always Excellent, some say a little expensive but I say I don’t mind paying for great food and exceptional service. First steak in my life I’ve ate without ketchup. As long as their open ill continue to be a customer because now I honestly can’t find another place that measures up to them. Only negative is I wished they were open after church on a Sunday but even with that God said rest on the 7th day.
Service was amazing even through a pop up rush. Great redfish. Etoufee to live for. And perfectly cooked veggies. Try the squash casserole!!!! And the owner is the best!
Took my mom while in visiting. The food was great. USDA Prime beef and they prepare it expertly.
Disregard any bad reviews, apparently they haven’t eaten a good meal before.
I was there during Christmas Festival and the staff were friendly and still smiling even though they were exhausted with how busy they were. Service was good and the food was excellent.

My new favorite restaurant in Natchitoches! Excellent service!! Had the redfish and crab....YUM!!!!! A great wine selection and the buttermilk pie was amazing!!! Can't wait to return!!!
The NY steak was seasoned & cooked to perfection! Double cut pork chop was outstanding & a fabulous price. Great bar & wine selection. Food server was a little on the slow side, but wouldn't prevent me from returning. Wish I would have purchased one of their cute T-shirts before I left. Excellent location, street parking. We will return when we're back in the area.
The menu did justice to the food served...excellent service and we will visit Natchitoches again...
Came in to town for work and just happened on this place. I had the catfish etouffee, they call it something else that I can’t remember but it was the most amazing etouffee I’ve ever had! Hope to come back in the future and bring my husband!
We eat here every time we’re in town. Yet to have something that wasn’t amazing - fried shrimp and catfish Acadiana are favorites.
Good experience. The frog legs were good. The fish was cooked perfectly(not dry or fishy flavor). The onion rings were fresh and all the sides were hot! The food was a little salty but not enough to displease the palate. The dessert was excellent, you must try the buttermilk pie with ice cream. 🤤
This was recommended by several of the locals as the place to come. The service was wonderful from the moment we walked in. From host, bartender, waitress and not sure if the gentlemen was manager or owner. But everyone was very attentive and worked very well as a team together! This would be my #1 place ever as for service. Food was great and the only reason I did not give them a 5 was the food was a little to salty. My husband loves salt and it was even a little too much for him.
Besides the long wait to get in, I loved this place. Decor was well done, service was attentive, cocktails hit the spot. My friend had the Red Fish Cocodrie which came with 2 large sides. She said it was very good and was glad she ordered it. I wanted the eggplant, but they were out. Instead I ordered Catfish Acadiana. It was so good, I was sorry I couldn't finish it. This is a happening place, so don't go for a quiet meal.
Great atmosphere and fabulous food. My husband and I went tonight for my birthday. We both had the ribeye and it was huge and amazing! We both couldn't eat the whole thing. It's very flavorful and out of this world. Our server Ireland was great! She was extremely polite, courteous and knowledgeable. The Mayeaux powers that be, you would do well to keep her! She made our first experience at Mayeaux's absolutely AMAZING!
Best place in Natchitoches to eat Authentic local favorites while having drinks with locals. if you like good food and great service this is the spot. Food well prepared and service team was well organized. I take clients here and it is always packed. Location is ideal
A fantastic Restaursnt on the River and historic downtown Nachitoches with great local dishes , the red fish , shrimp and other specialties . Great atmosphere and service is excellent.
