We went in on a Monday morning after a long weekend in Brown County. What an adorable place. So pretty outside. They were very busy and short staffed, but we were in no hurry and the staff were all very gracious. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. All things considered we got our food rather quickly.. and man oh man,, the food was AMAZING. I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. I wish I would have gotten a picture of them, but they were smashed upon arrival. Such a great ending to an amazing weekend, truly the cherry on top.

I was very excited to eat here but ended up leaving extremely disappointed! I know I came on Memorial Day and I waited over 1.5 hours for this meal which is the vegan hash. Incredibly grateful for vegan options but I was extremely disappointed with the portion size, especially after waiting so long for food. I thought it’d be more food and I wish it was as I had to grab another meal after I left Nashville. I don’t mind paying more for meals at restaurants like this and I hate to leave a review like this but I have to be honest it was a very disappointing experience. I’m willing to give the place another try because the service was exceptional but I’d have to order something heavier, and call 1 hour in advance for a table.

I loved the cozy ambience inside and outside of this restaurant. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to wait at all, which was a huge plus for us. The waitress was decently friendly, not super upbeat or attentive but she did her job. I had the breakfast sampler dish and it was also just okay. It didn’t taste bad but it didn’t taste like there were very many seasonings used. The tequila sunrise drink was fantastic though, I must say. Overall I recommend if you’re looking for a quick bite and nothing more.

The creamy BBQ sauce was delicious, it went great with the impossible patty melt and the rosemary fries. So you know, it's slow there, but they are making your food fresh. Oh and don't skip dessert, the blueberry cobbler was amazing! I love that they have local sodas. Absolutely worth stopping in. I wish I was local so I could go back and try more items from the menu.

Oh I wanted this to be so much better. The front of the house staff were amazing. Servers all help each other out and are on it! The food not so amazing. This was our first time there so it appeared that their specialty was a southern style bacon gravy, so I had to give it a try. I know most basic cooks no this, but in case you don’t they made a huge mistake. They burnt the bacon; if the bacon’s bunt the oil is burnt. However, they used the burnt bacon oil to make the bacon gravy and served me very bitter unpleasant bacon gravy over what I think we’re fried biscuits. All in all just not good. The coffee was very weak as well. My husband‘s pancakes, with hickory syrup, we’re probably the best we’ve ever had. Grits not so fond of either. The restaurant itself as far as the Decor, furnishings etc. are lovely and well put together. I think I could give them another try?

Absolutely loved it!! I did not anticipate what I was going to see from outside because it was a cold winter morning and nobody was around in town. But when I opened the cafe door, it was a pleasant surprise! This cute little brunch place is absolutely amazing! Beautiful indoor decor, amazing servers and Great food too! I tried the blueberry pie, egg sandwich and coffee and they were all amazing! They also had vegan stuff which is great! I will definitely go again!

We visited Bird's Nest Cafe on a Saturday evening during the off-season. I love that they are open all year, every day here in Nashville Indiana. The service was great with a very informative and attentive waiter. I had the shepherd's pie. The potatoes were creamy and the filling was hot and delicious. It came with a small side salad. I paired it with their pinot noir which was great. I've heard that they are very busy during the tourist season but we had no wait at all.

A great little place to get a solid breakfast before a big day of hiking and shopping the nearby boutiques. We sat down with our dog in the outdoor garden area and enjoyed butterflies and bees landing on the wild flowers around us. The staff were pleasant and attentive, always ready to freshen up our coffee mugs before we knew we needed it. The relaxing and beautiful ambiance was really the best part of visiting the cafe overall. The only reason this doesn’t get a 5-star rating is because it took a surprisingly long time to get two plates of food. We didn’t really mind that much because we weren’t rushing, but it’s something I’d consider if I were pressed for time in the future. My wife thought her food was excellent, and I thought the food was good—nothing that blew my mind, but just what I needed before a day of activity.
