Very good place for a quick lunch. Caribbean food done healthy. Best thing and specialty is their rotisserie chicken. I like the jerk sauce, it's not as hot as it sounds. Bean and corn salad, mustard greens, and black beans are my favorite sides. As a back up the island burger is also delicious. As
My husband and I usually eat here at least once a week. We love the rotisserie chicken, salads and sides. Well, my husband’s been in the hospital for awhile but I had a hankering for some Calypso and ate there today. We’ve gotten to know server Quinton over the years, and he asked after my husband.
Wow! Amazing food. There was a wait to get to the table and the food did not let me down. We have been to Jamaica and Calypso Cafe has delivered on wonderful Caribbean cuisine. The chicken was perfectly done. The beans and rice were the best I have had! The were so good I could have had them for d
Our waiter was hands on with service! The food was delicious! Our waiter was so good that I stated I did not need a to go cup of fruit tea so when he brought my friend’s, before I could get out of my mouth that I changed my mind, he was placing ‘my to go cup’ in front of me! Wow, y’all that is true
Gave it a try and loved it! Really wish it was closer to where I live. Did take out for lunch and food was ready in about 10 minutes. They are a well oiled machine at getting the orders out. Staff was really friendly and restaurant was clean. Will definitely be stopping in to try out more of the men
Love this place! The parking lot can be a little tricky with limited spaces, doesn't help that some people park in non-spots and block others in 🙄. Staff has always been pleasant, service quick and good always fresh. I love their Tuna salad, Cole slaw & sweet potatoes, but my new favorite is the b
Our favorite Nashville restaurant. Everything is great. I recommend the Beans and three, the jerk chicken plate or the black bean salad. They are our 'go to" choices.
Couva Calypso or The Calypso Café @ 100 Oaks was a surprisingly nice experience. It's an trendy, Central American/Carribean island-esque themed restaurant with an emphasis on healthy, vegetarian, and vegan meals at an affordable price point. Now when I said "themed", I don't mean like the Rainforest
Calypso is one of my favorite lunch spots in Nashville. The black bean salad is epic (pro tip: get it with white BBQ chicken!), and their fruit tea is delightful. And the staff are super friendly!
Always Good! Great for vegetarians. Black beans are prepared fresh and no animal products!
Calypso is a Nashville classic. Their menu is fun and expansive. Service, even during their busy weekday lunch rushes, is extremely tight. Their salads are fabulous. The Lucayan salad is 10/10. Don’t miss that one! It’s the perfect blend of flavors and textures. The muffins served with the salad w
Always busy there, but they get you in pretty fast. Definitely recommend if in the Berry Hills area.
This place is one of my absolute most favorite places to eat in the Nashville area! There used to be multiple locations, including one in Murfreesboro! I don’t know what happened, but I enjoyed being able to get fresh and delicious food served with a smile within a fairly close proximity of pretty m
Glad they've reopened. Do yourself a favor, stop in and get the black bean salad, but ask for jerk sauce as well if you like it spicy
Love this place! The black bean nachos are a hit with my whole family. Get the chips on the side to keep them crisp. Update 15 Aug 2023: The chicken sandwich is glorious. I usually add tomatoes. The muffins are sometimes dry, but when they hit they really hit.
