Everything was so good. The owner was super friendly and quick with his service. I will definitely come back
This gem of a restaurant is tucked away in a little corner of the complex that K&S Market is located in. But if you ever consider venturing in, you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. It is nothing fancy and you won't get a chatty server but if you want a flavorful yet super affordable meal you will be glad you stopped by.
There are many Pho restaurants in Nashville but no one can come close to their generous $7.95 Pho bowls! You can have an appetizer, entree and a Bubble Tea for $15 and that is kinda impossible to do anywhere in this day and age. I missed out on taking pics of the Pho dish but I got a pic of my extra bowl of just the Pho broth which is perfect for a rainy afternoon
They have a standard Vietnamese menu but there are also Chef Specials and a page of Authentic dishes. I can't remember the Vietnamese names but the Stir Fry Beef with Vermicellie with a special house special sauce (No 8) which is $7.95 has become one of my favorite dishes here. 2 pcs of egg rolls with sauce is $2.50, and the plate of 6 pcs of Wontons for $4.50 came perfectly crispy with some dipping sauce too. This time, instead of the Pho, I decided to try the $11.95 Garlic Shrimp with rice and i was not disappointed! All the Bubble Teas are $3.50 with just fc$a small scoop of tapioca pearls and they even have a Herbal drink which is a full cup of all kinds of interesting things like beans, longans, seaweed etc served ice cold. My daughter's loves their Pho.
COVID precautions: It was very empty during the time we were there. But we noticed mainly pick up orders so there wasn't much to be worried about since there was ample space. The staff were all masked and they do request you enter masked as well and at least till you finish ordering.
PS - The only suggestions I'd offer them is to 1) offer the spicy chilli powder instead of just the Chilli oil and 2) fully cook the boba pearly or offer the Lychee jelly instead and 3) offer more non pork appetizers
I have actually ordered food from here two separate times before writing my review. All the times were specified as vegan, and the menu seems to be very accomodating. Generally, the food is super fresh, and I loved all of it! The first time I ordered, I got the Veggie Spring rolls and Veggie Vermicelli. I love whatever the tofu mix was that came with the vermicelli noodles. The flavor is great, and the tofu bits are kind of crispy but chewy. The spring rolls were also great with the peanut (hoisin?) sauce. The second time I ordered, I got the Tofu Spring Rolls and Tofu Vegetable Stir Fry. I think I liked the tofu rolls better than the veggie ones, but they were both great. I really enjoyed the texture of the stir fried tofu. I hope to order from here again, because the food is amazing! I'm surprised I hadn't eaten food from here before.
Very enjoyable and definitely one of the better Nashvillian Vietnamese establishments. Their spring rolls are some of the best I’ve had served at a restaurant - very good. Seems like the PHO broths have good depth and flavor. Lots of fresh ingredients. Seating can be limited during really busy hours - service is consistent and steady.
First time order catering food trays for my birthday party and the food is amazing! I ordered stir fried noodles, vietnamese salad, lobsters with tamarind sauce, egg drop crab soup and beef stew with pate. All the food was gone at the end of the party. 10/10 recommended.
In my opinion, this was one of the best Vietnamese restaurant’s in Nashville. They had some awesome fish and crab cakes. Their beef and vegetable broths were extremely flavourful and their portion sizes were perfect. Upon a special request they prepared a vegetable broth which was really good. Their food just tasted very authentic and they were open till 8:30 which was really nice.
First timr I've enjoyed authentic Vietnamese cuisine and very much enjoyed the experience. Staff was amazing and helpful and their menus listed out the items in detail so I knew exactly what I was getting. Will definitely be coming back and be bringing friends.
The 1st table we sat at smelled really bad like an old left unrung rag, we mentioned it to the male waiter & he ignored us. We then moved to another table, it wasn't as bad but it did have a small stench. It makes you wonder how good or bad for that matter they clean the utensils, cups etc etc.
There was a big centipede on the floor of the ladies room.
Beef stew Pho with glass noodles was good, the peppers were too big, serrano type peppers would be better. My friends Pho rice noodles were over cooked & got very soggy half way through his meal.
We’ve been eating here for over two decades. This place hands down has the best pho, best service. On the weekends they have special authentic dishes. Highly recommend!
