My wife and I have been to Rumours East on several occasions. A couple times we visited Rumours with friends and last Saturday we visited for our one year wedding anniversary. What's not to love about Rumours? They have a unique wine selection, great food cooked to order, a dimly lit ambiance, and the service is always professional and timely. Our server Keith was very tentative and able to judge when to approach the table and when we were in conversation. We started off with some happy hour cocktails/wine, which was fairly priced, and the crab cakes for an appetizer. The crab cakes were very good and had a very delicious spicy comeback sauce complementing them. For dinner I had the rib-eye steak, and my wife had the pork chop. Both were very tender and cooked to order. The rib-eye came with greens, and garlic mashed potatoes. The pork chop came with brussels sprouts and was served with a very nice red onion tomato jam. Everything was plated/prepared nicely and even more delicious than it looked. The owner Ms. June was there and even came by to share stories and ask us about our experience. We capped off the 2 hour experience with a glass of wine and a piece of the cheese cake. I highly recommend Rumours East for special occasions and an elegant date night out. They have a lovely staff and a very aristocratic feeling location. We will be back for sure.

We ate there yesterday and enjoyed the limited menu for the tomato festival. They sat us quickly. We then did wait awhile before we were greeted by a server, but once our server greeted us we had great service. She was also extremely sweet and apologized for the wait. I had the turkey blt and my friend had the caprese salad. Both were so good! I can't wait to try their regular menu!

The restaurant atmosphere is classy and yet, not too formal. The kale salad was very yummy. The prawn dish was good too; however, I could do without the little heads on still, don't like eyes looking at me on my plate. I went with a girlfriend and was full at the end of the meal, but had my husband come he would have still been hungry after our $70.00. The portions are small.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the wood tables. Our server, Sarah, was nice and attentive. The food was tastier than I expected. However, the portions were not equal to the price we paid. There also was no air conditioning, so it was uncomfortable and we did not want to stick around too long. I would give it a 3.5 if there was that option. Probably would not go again.

Embarrassingly bad service. What was supposed to be a romantic evening with my girlfriend ended up being an evening of having to hear waiters stand around and talk about their tips and take home pay for the night. While we were eating our appetizer, our waiter informed us that if we were planning to order an entree, we needed to do it immediately because they had decided to close the kitchen early because it was a slow night. We had 8pm reservations and had only been there 20 min. As we hesitated to decide what we wanted to do, due to the surprise of being rushed, our waiter told us there was a place nearby that makes great sandwiches. We almost laughed. It was clear that the waiters just wanted to go home early. Needless to say, we won't be returning. There are too many great restaurants in Nashville to waste your money here.

We went for my birthday and dined and dined here. The bacon wrapped asparagus was delicious that we ordered a second serving. The love noir wine was great, too, especially having it by the fireplace. I plan to go back for a summer visit.

The food at this restaurant was decent. The portions were incredibly small but the flavor was good. Our waitress was absolutely horrible! She was rude from the beginning, but got increasingly worse as more people were added to our party. It took over thirty minutes for the second part of our group to get drinks, and a dessert was ordered by an early member of the party before the second half arrive that never came until we were ready to leave. To top it off the East and 12 S. locations now have different owners. I gave the waitress a gift card with both locations listed on it which she did not accept. First she said it was too old... it was a Christmas gift with no expiration on it. Then she said it was for the other location and it was "their bad" for not taking off the address. I explained that not taking a card with the address I was at on it was bad customer service and "this locations bad" I will never return and neither will any of the six in my party. (Yes, it was only six people so it was not that we were a huge unaccommodable party.)
