Stood in line and ordered a whole pizza, which was definitely a mistake. I would recommend only doing a walk-in for slices and pasta. The whole pizzas take a long time. Ended up waiting a little over an hour for our pizza, plus the wait time to place the order. Pizza is super good and delicious. Would probably get more business if they figured out how to speed things up. Cannoli was good, but not sure when they are made, as they don’t seem totally crunchy. The prices are a bit opaque - they have a sign saying their prices are increased due to inflation, but the new ones are not posted anywhere. 2-topping large was $25, which was more than expected. I would come back and try the single slices or order in advance/online.

The pizza is delicious here! I got a slice of cheese, the Gladiator, and lasagna. The thin slice of cheese was my favorite. The gladiator was pretty good but too much for me. The lasagna was also solid. Can't wait to go back and try some more pizza!

If you’ve never been to Joey’s… run. But give yourself at least an hour to get through the line! Don’t worry about being bored while you wait in line because Stephanie and her family will entertain you from the second you walk in the door. This Italian family is nothing short of amazing!
I would only recommend ordering by the slice if you’re walking in and waiting in line. Anything more than a two peps might have you waiting a good while! I was with a group of 5 and we all ordered the lunch special: two slices a salad and a drink! Very good pizza!
Tons of fun! Cant wait to go back!

Amazing pizza with a great view. The people that work at this place are the nicest hard working people ever. The food takes a while but is well worth the wait because this may have been the best pizza I've had in Nashville. Loved the vibe and the location. Will definitely be back!
Ms. V
Excellent service 👏. She makes a pizza her b**#+. served delicious and hot out the oven. We didn't get pass the parking lot.. One slice will keep you full ALL DAY!! Grrrrr - you handled that... Thank you for great quality service.

Incredible pizza, incredible service, and an overall incredible experience! Parking is typically hard to find and the line is long, but it moves fast and is well worth the wait! My husband and I both ordered a lunch combo and ate for about $20 total. A huge slice of pizza (Gladiator), salad, and drink. My husband has a big appetite and the one slice was plenty for him. I ate half of mine and was able to bring the rest home! Hours are short so make sure to confirm they are open before making the trip! I can't wait to visit Nashville again to return!!

Great customer service was perfect . Italian spot . Huge or giant pizzas I might say . Fast service. Family owned business . Brooklyn roots and Italian heritage merge. It’s authentic New York style brought to nashville . Even though it’s not for me . I hope I can help pizza lovers because I do have more than enough friends that’s truly
Love this place and the food . And you better know what you want ! 😌

This joint has earned it's spot as a Nashville gem. I'm ranking it number 2, but still giving them 5 stars. They are most definitely dedicated to preserving their family tradition, and are offering their hearts in the best pie in Nashville hands down! With very limited hours, you need to get there early to grab a slice of heaven. A massive piece that is the size of your head, and covers the entire plate! You probably will have to take the other half of the slice home! It's that huge and that delicious!

I struggled a lot with this review. I wanted to give 1 star for many reasons & 5 stars for the pizza itself. The pizza was 5 stars, in fact I could probably give it higher if possible. Being from CT it is very rare for me to find good pizza so once I tasted it, it helped with the fact that we waited over an hour for it. The tables & chairs were put up so we couldn't sit down. Having a bad back it was super hard for me to stand so long. I would suggest putting at least the chairs down for people to sit in, this would remove the stress of eyes on you while you are working as well as help those who cannot stand long. And one HUGE suggestion would be to have someone actually write down each order & put it in order. I was very sad after hearing how they spoke to each other and to some customers. The woman working could have won a pizza making contest hands down. I have never ever seen someone move as fast as she did. She obviously could have used some help & some positive encouragement. If you see someone struggling & obviously not able to go any faster, you probably should step in and help out or hire someone to help out. It hurt to watch. I kind of felt I was on an episode of Seinfeld, just replace soup with pizza. The pizza is spot on. Awesome! Would I eat there again... yes. But I'd have to pray you find it in your hearts to be kind to each other. Life is too short to be that stressed.

This place's reputation does not do it justice! Yes, I had heard how fantastic Joey's is. Yes, I had read review after review. However, words alone can not even begin to describe how wonderful the food and service is at Joey's!! We showed up during the peak of lunch rush, made it thru the line faster than we expected, and found a table after getting our drinks. 10-15 mins later we were treated to the absolutely best pizza I've ever had. One of my buddies is a Brooklyn native and even he was impressed with the authenticity of the New York Style pizza he got. I chose the Gladiator and that over-stuffed piece of pie full to the brim with meats and gooey cheese was simply divine! Make sure to show up with an appetite and remember that this is NOT a fast food joint. Prepare thyself!

I walked in and literally just couldn't even decide what I wanted. There is so much on the menu that anyone can find something, whether it's pizza, sandwich, or a salad. I came for some pizza! I am a true pizza lover. The toppings, sauce, and fresh cheese are all just melted together so perfectly. Piled on thin crust which is cooked until perfectly crunchy. On top of the amazing pizza was their cannolis. Chocolate dipped cannoli shell with a creamy chocolate chip filling. I bought two and wish i had ten. I can't wait to come back for more. I would totally vote this the best pizza and cannolis in Nashville!!!!!!

When I’m missing Jersey- I go to Joey’s They’ve got the best food, they play the best music and I just love that family- theybway the communicate with each other....it feels like home! It’s a little piece of heaven in Nashville!

The house salad is amazing. The pizza is amazing. It's hard to find a pizza place with great crust. Look no further. This crust is everything you have dreamed of. I feel every pizza I eat after this will be nothing but disappointment.

Maybe the best pizza I’ve ever had! Never expected to find a real NY place in Nashville. Much bigger menu than just pizza.
Rosemary Sprague
There’s a reason people wait in line for this pizza. Last night was my husband’s 30th birthday. He’s a New Yorker and we like to consider ourselves amateur pizza connoisseurs. I knew that surprising him with Joey’s would be the perfect way to celebrate. They even delivered to us at the bowling alley! This is a legit New York slice and the customer service is top notch. Joey’s is the best!!!

Me and my coworkers used to come eat here for lunch once a week. The pizza is amazing and the cannolis are outstanding. The seating is limited but it has that amazing pizza place atmosphere.

I’ve been a Nashville 10 years now, we’ve only found out about Joeys house of pizza this week. We tried it, and love it, I felt like I was back in Brooklyn. This isn’t New York style pizza, it is New York pizza!
Joseph Franco
I’m from NYC & I’m tellin ya the pizza at Joey’s is better than where I’m from! All the food is delicious. It’s always my first stop when I’m in town!!
Julie Shirer
The pizza was great but it's a little confusing for a first time visitor when trying to order. I'm assuming it was Joey who helped me out by saying, You like...And I did like Hawaiian pizza but I felt rushed to order and there was no one behind me in line. My husband ordered the Gladiator. He loved it! We will definitely go back!
Keith Knight
Best lasagna I’ve ever had. Was given a heads up there’s always a line out the door. Well worth the wait!
Jonathan Brydalski
Steph runs a tight ship. The food is amazing. Best NYC style pizza in Nashville. Get the Gladiator, you won’t leave hungry.
Ron Padgett
True New York pizza!! Love that they remember me even though I don’t get there that often since they moved out of Brentwood. Definitely worth the trip though!!!

One of if not the best pizza places I have visited in Nashville.

Not only are COVID-19 standards not being observed in this establishment by the staff and owners in general, their attitude towards me today during a quarantine was UNACCEPTABLE. I work for Shipt doing grocery delivery and risk my personal health each day shopping for others. Today around 1230 pm I delivered an order to this restaurant. Some of the items were in a large box that I attempted to place on the ground next to a table (instructed to do so by a staff member at the door). When the woman behind the till (I believe she’s an owner) saw me, she called me an “idiot” in front of myself and about 10 customers and staff. I asked her loudly if she actually just called me an idiot to which she replied “yes I am talking about you”. I asked to speak to the owner, a man working behind the prep line, and told him what occurred. He told me if I wanted to talk to him I would have to get in line behind the guests waiting and completely disregarded my complaints. I’m sure their food is great, but I have never been more appalled by the absolute lack of customer service standards and basic human respect in a restaurant in my life. Especially one that I had just shopped for, seriously? The quarantine has brought the best in a lot of people, but the owners of this establishment are clearly not part of that group. Can I give negative stars?

I have eaten at dozens and dozens of restaurants in Nashville and surrounding areas. Joey’s is my new favorite restaurant. The service and food are both unmatched. They make you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. The whole staff was great, but Stefany was unbelievable. She is fast, attentive, and amazingly friendly.

What we ate:

3 double crust slices. These are everything one could ever want in a pizza. They are sooo cheesy. Toppings are clearly high quality. Somehow, it’s not too greasy. I don’t know how they do it.

2 slices of pepperoni. No flop, super crispy and delicious crust. The cheese, sauce, and pepperoni are all fantastic. If Dave Portnoy ate this slice, he’d give it a 9.2 at least.

2 pieces of the Chicago style pizza. We were already full from the other amazing slices by the time it arrived but we each took a bite or two. Like everything else here, it’s fantastic. Smoked sausage was amazing and could stand alone as an entree and be wonderful. Crust was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. 10/10

I want to thank the whole staff for a wonderful meal and great experience. We will be back soon!

I had heard a lot about this place and even heard they are rude to customer.. so want to experience myself but was really difficult with the timing but finally one day i made it and lucky that it was not crowded and waiter was very understanding on my vegetarian option and even suggested me to go a slice of pizza since its a huge slice i did not in any point felt they were rude or anything but only a girl making pizza with so much energy and they were calling me sweety and all. In restaurant you will find a old royal customer or new bug in for taste.. its a best NY style pizza with great environment and taste is one of best in Nashville. Must try if your in Nashville its one of best things to do in Nashville.

Honestly, I don't see what all the hype is about. Co-workers have been raving about this place and I've been there twice and I can't say I've been impressed. I'm not sure why the place is always packed because the people are terrible and the food is nothing to write home about. If they're not yelling at customers, the staff is bickering among themselves for everyone to hear. Maybe I would have enjoyed my food a little more in a less combative environment.

I used to think the only place to get legit amazing new york style pizza in this area was Nicks Italian Deli in Franklin. then I tried Joeys. Just as good if not better. Centrally located in Nashville close to downtown, this place is the real deal. Italian American food made from the heart just like my Nonna makes. the ladies that work the counter have that new york hustle but also add a dash of sweet southern hospitality. Eggplant is off the chain.

The Gladiator. A piece of pizza like i haven't had before. You gotta have a really empty stomach to indulge in one of these slices :)

Pizza Pie. Dessert perfect for after lunch

-----20 Nov, 2014-----

Best place ever. Such a wonderful place to go eat. The food is just as amazing as the people.

Mikey likes it!. Our 2 boys are Joeys unofficial mascots. Our 3 year old has requested Joeys pizza since he could talk and recently our 1 year old tried the pizza- a newbie to the solid food world can make a quick critic. But, Mikey liked it! The staff at Joeys are so great to stop the cash register for a few minutes to ooh and awwww over our boys! Paper plates never looked as good as they do holding a slice of pie at Joeys!!!

Now THAT'S a pizza pie!

By Far the Best Pizza in Middle Tennessee. Wow, we've tried virtually every pizza place in a fifty mile radius of town, and Joey's is so far and away the best I cannot overemphasize. We went there for lunch and I joked with my wife that we should go back for dinner - and she was ready! Then my son came into the room and had the same suggestion! Only problem is that they are only open for lunch (until three), and only weekdays.
In New York State there is a good family-run pizza joint on every other corner, kinda like the drugstores in Tennessee (make what you will out of that fact). No one in Tennessee seems to have a handle on what a New York Style pizzeria is, but Joey and company does. It is a rather small store, but very clean and airy, the bathrooms and the lot are, too. There is a surprisingly scenic view of the Nashville skyline from the eat-in counter. There is a patio area out back.
Now the food. The crust is perfect. Crisp and chewy, a little sweet, and nicely yeasty, with the toasty taste that you can only get from a 500 degree pizza oven. The toppings include some unusual (for the South) choices: artichokes; eggplant, thinly sliced and fried; fresh basil, which they don't skimp on and is best quality; and pepperoni, which they put the on top of the other toppings as God intended, so it gets nice and crispy.
The cannoli are good and the tiramisu got raves too. Next time maybe I'll be brave and try the spumoni cheesecake. If I lived closer to this place I'd weigh three hundred pounds. Thanks Joey's, I am so glad I found youse guys!

Delicioso!. I love the New York style pizza and this is now my favorite pizza place. Everyone I know that has tried this place is raving about it. If you get there near lunch time it will be packed. It's probably to call in your order so you can pick it up instead. Not a very big dining area.

Best Pizza in Town. Thin, greasy, melty, cheesy........ awesomeness. If it wasn't 40 minutes away from me i would be there once a week.

I miss NY. I moved here and thought I would never get a good slice ever again. I stumbled upon Joey's while driving around and have been a loyal fan ever since. Not only does the food remind me of NY/NJ, but Joey and his family are as authentic as it gets. The husband and wife argue (it almost seems staged) every time I am in there. The daughter is the one that keeps the place together. It's just like being in Brooklyn.

Joey's - Great Casual Italian!. Joey's House of Pizza makes you feel right at home. This eatery is well-run and has the best pizza pies, stromboli, lasagna, calzone, Italian subs, pasta salad and more. They even have Coney Island Knishes. Their marinara sauce is the best I've ever tasted (they are generous with it too). Top it all off with a heavenly tiramisu or cannoli.

Web site: www.joeyshouseofpizza.com

Finally!. A great slice of NY style pizza. Closest thing I've found in Nashville/Brentwood area.

If you are from the North East and you miss having a fail safe go to Italian family neighborhood joint, thiis is it. Tucked away, but a lucky fine. The food is as good as it gets AND you get the attitude and atmosphere that feels so familiar and so good!

Finally, a decent slice in Brentwood. Joey's has been a great place to find good pizza and other quick italian fare for Maryland Farm folks for years. Don't waste time at the counter telling them your order, or you will get a "New-York style" blessing before your meal.

I and my co-workers have eaten there numerous times with no disappointments. Get there before 11:45 to avoid the long line that tends to form, but we have yet to go over the 1 hour lunch deadline.

We recommend a slice or two, or a slice and a side salad. While I have yet to try the other non-wedge fare, it looks good too.

If you work in Brentwood, then you know that this place is a staple of the local lunch crowd. There is usually a line out the door come noon and its all because Joey's has the best pizza I have eaten in Nashville. As soon as you walk in, the smell of fresh marinara, garlic mozzarella, oregano and Little Italy hits you right in the face. In fact, I was in a hurry and about to leave because the line was so long but the aroma had me captivated. I love the fact that you have to fold the pizza and the ingredients are awesome! They have pizza by the slice(around $3) as well as Stromboli ($8.75 combo with salad and drink) that I will have to come back for. I believe there is another location in Spring Hill also. If your worried about calories, then you might want to try a soup and salad place. If you think there is better pizza in Nashville, fuggedaboutit. Or just let me know and ill try it out.

... The chicken parmigiana is delightful. The chicken is tender with a light well-seasoned breading. The chicken is sprinkled liberally with Italian cheeses

Nashville Restaurants and Food Joey's House of Pizza 897 Elm Hill Pike Nashville 615-254-5639 www.joeyshouseofpizza.com Anyone worried about the new Joey's House of Pizza location pulling in customers can rest easy. Joey has brought his regulars up from Brentwood and is garnering a new fan base for the lunch spot just off Fesslers Lane and I-40. While some have worried that it isn't near any real neighborhoods, it is just a quick hop from downtown. Errands necessitate an early lunch one day, so I arrive at 10:50 a.m. and there are already three other cars waiting. When I leave at 11:26 a.m. every parking spot is filled and the dining room is packed. Don't let that deter you. Joey and his crack staff keep things moving quickly. We never made it to the Brentwood location, so we can't compare. The new layout is a long serving line with trays full of traditional American-Italian favorites, such as chicken parmigiana, baked ziti, lasagna and spaghetti. They have several salad options, inclu
