03/16: We went there for lunch and the waitress wasn't there. One of the cooks (Sean/Shawn) came out and acted as the waiter. He was phenomenal, he was running around making sure we were all set, being sociable, cooking food, taking online orders. The food did not disappoint even with the restaurant being a man down. I 100% recommend for food and service!!

The halal goat biryani is a must have if you visit. The quantity is decent. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 because the side orders suck as mango pickle and yogurt are expensive for that tiny amount they give.
I know that a mango pickle whole jar in Middle Eastern markets costs 4 bucks. They charge 2.95$ for a tiny amount. Please change that. Other than that, the food is great and the staff are nice and friendly.
Definitely ll visit again but i ll bring my side orders with me.

Love this place. I also went with my friend from India, she said it was good so I'll take her word for it too.
Great staff, super nice, prices are average not cheap, but not expensive either. I would definitely recommend.

Our favorite!!! Outstanding, fresh ingredients. We have never had a bad dish. Food bursting with flavor and the staff are so kind. You will never be disappointed! The best biryani!!

So they were out of a certain wine but they were totally willing to go to the store to get what we needed--although we ended up something they had on-hand, the offer was appreciated! Only thing was our party of six was given the same amount of snacks (chips with the sauces) as we get when there's just 2 of us. It would have been 5 star if there was enough for everyone. Everyone liked their food and the waiter was great!

Easily the best Indian food in RI... The waitstaff is incredibly friendly, sweet and welcoming.
Maharaja beats Rasa by a long shot. The servings are huge and their prices can't be beat. Their food also tastes much more traditional than Rasa's
This place is a must try!

Quality, efficient customer service & comfy ambiance! I’ve eaten at more than a few Indian restaurants. Maharaja is by far thee BEST tasting and surprisingly MOST inexpensive place my taste buds have experienced. It was a very busy night (I imagine it always is the food is just too good). My husband and I greatly enjoyed our dinner and will be back for ALOT more!!

One of the best appetizer platters I have had. Great food quite space. Prices were fair. I would highly recommend the samosas. Great papadum and the Mint chutney was on par with what I had in India. Don't let the location fool you. Looking to coming back soon.

Large, delicious portions; a rich variety of vegetarian options. But the place is small, feels somewhat cramped, and there was not enough staff to deal with the large number of clients at dinner time. Expect to wait a while before being seated, before your order is taken, and before the food arrives.

Having grown up in the UK I've eaten a lot of Indian food over the years. The food here was absolutely exceptional and I give it a solid 5 stars. Everything was hot, spiced right and fresh. Would not hesitate to come back.
