We love going here. We pick out our lobsters from the fish market downstairs and they take it upstairs and cook it for you. For us the bigger lobster the better. Clam chowder also had lots of clams

Whether you’re in the mood for cooked seafood or raw seafood Champlin’s has an answer for you. Downstairs is their seafood market and upstairs is the restaurant, where they can and will, cook you a lobster that you bought downstairs. Or of course you can choose from their huge selection of a menu. They have indoor and outdoor seating where you can watch the ferries leave and return from Block Island, along with the fishing boats. My wife and brother-in-law were very impressed with the freshness of the seafood. I had the chicken sandwich which was grilled and absolutely perfect. As it is fresh seafood the restaurant is on the pricer side, but you’re getting fish that was caught that morning. It doesn’t get any fresher. Some of their dishes are based on market price. If you’re in the mood for dessert after, downstairs next to the seafood market, they have a small ice cream shop. You can take your ice cream and sit by the water. If your looking for the best seafood in Rhode Island, you’ll find it at Champlin’s.

We were very hungry when we got off the ferry. We wanted to eat here. The decoration inside was beautiful. we sat on the terrace. The sunset looks beautiful from here. Our food arrived very late. Other than that, the service and flavors were good. I would like to go again next time.

I went to Champlin’s last week, the food was amazing! It was super busy but the line went quick. I’ve NEVER had bad food here! It’s one of my favorite summer spots! Onto my real/other reason to write this review!!…I left my wallet there. I knew it was lost but I didn’t even remember bringing it in there since I was with family members that paid so I didn’t even consider that it was left there. Once I realized it was missing a couple days had gone by, I checked all of my accounts and nothing was missing so I really just assumed it was in my house somewhere and wasn’t panicking or anything. Yes I did cancel some accounts to be safe but I really just figured it would turn up. BUT yesterday I got some calls from a few of my doctors offices that Champlins had called them to see if they could get in touch with me (from appointment cards that were in my wallet) and asked them to let me know that my wallet was there!! I just can’t believe they went through those hoops to find me and get it back to me and kept it secure for me until I came to get it. Thank you Champlins! You’re an A+ 5 star restaurant and business!

A must stop if you are in the Galilee area. Line can get long, but it moves quick. Self table service or take out. Fantastic views of the inlet. Wave to the patrons on The Ferry as it floats right by the windows. Food is your typical seafood dishes, at extremely reasonable prices, with huge portions. You will NOT leave hungry here. Worth the wait, the views, and the experience.

My wife and I love this restaurant. Whenever we come over from Connecticut, it's always worth the two hour drive. The lobster and Fish tacos are amazing. The Lobster bisque is the best I've had so far in New England. There is always plenty of seating, and you can watch the boats pass by while you eat. Love it!

First time trying this restaurant. They will only prep and boil the lobsters if you bought them from the Live Market downstairs. If you bought lobsters from elsewhere, they wouldn't do it. The food here is pretty good. We like the fish and clam chowder. We came here on a rainy Saturday so parking was not too bad. Can't imagine long lines and hard to find parking if it was sunny.
