Spettacolare! If you're searching for an authentic Italian dining experience in Naples, Florida, look no further than Dorona. Chef Jason's special of the night - a traditional Carbonara Rome style dish made with guanciale and bucatini exceeded my expectations in every way. This Carbonara was made the authentic Roman way, without the use of American-style heavy cream. Instead, Chef Jason relied on the natural richness of the eggs and guanciale to create a silky, velvety sauce that coated each strand of bucatini to perfection. It was a true masterclass in Carbonara, and I applaud Chef Jason for his dedication to traditional techniques and ingredients. Dorona, is a must-visit destination for any food lover. And be sure to try Chef Jason's Carbonara Romana - you won't regret it!

Delicious. Awesome service. Reasonable prices for the quality food. Brussel sprouts and bacon? Yes please. Round 2. Like 3 years later? Menu has changed. Tried the calamari and it was over cooked. Cesar salad was okay. Aged New York strip was awesome! Service was slow at 1st but she got it together. Burger was fantastic. We will be back.

Excellent!!! Great service. It's a very inviting atmosphere. Live music when we visited on a Wednesday evening with a variety of music. Food was amazing along with the presentation! Try the red sangria it's a must and a perfect pair to any steak on their menu.

Picked up dinner here the other night and loved the pork Milanese and wedge salad I got. Ambiance/decor was a little tired on the inside (granted I ran in and out). Otherwise, very friendly and attentive staff at the bar where I picked up my food. Great for a real late night dinner when most other places were closing or closed!

Best food ever! Great bar atmosphere. The bartender Nino actually made me the very best prickly pear martini! Wonderful vibe over here. Very best prawn shrimp cocktail imported from Equador! Amazing if you are a fan of Italian steakhouses!

The place has a rustic look with a touch of modernity. It's got outdoor and indoor seating. It is an Italian steakhouse, so expect pasta and meat dishes. Bucatinni pasta is great and the steak options are fairly priced and very well cooked. Server was attentive and happy to make suggestions. The cocktails are great specially the one with grapefruit vodka and hibiscus. It can get expensive if you ask for many things though. Be ready for a $100+ plus check if you bring a date or fam. Very nice experience overall. Would recommend !

Been meaning to get down here for a few months and finally did. It did not disappoint! The restaurant is modern and contemporary. Almost as if you were transported to a spot in a larger city with great neighborhood eats. Started out with California oysters which were the best oysters I think I have had in a few years. The right amount of brine and just wonderful. Followed it up with a charcuterie plate with prosciutto, manchego cheese, and a soft goat cheese. The prosciutto and manchego were flavorful and light. They paired well with the jam they provided. I liked the goat cheese but not on the same level for me. I couldn't make up my mind for the main course at this Italian Steakhouse so I did all of the above! I love carbonara and wish more Italian restaurants served it so when I saw it on the menu I had to try it! I paired that with a 5 oz. Wagyu strip. The carbonara definitely stole the show with the rich sauce and runny egg. I am used to a little bit of a lighter sauce with the egg incorporated into it but this was delicious and a little heavy. The steak was tender and good but not one of the top steaks I have had. I clearly didn't have room for dessert but brought the carrot cake hone with me. I haven't had it as of yet but it looks and smells wonderful. I will definitely make my way back to this gem!

Went on a Friday night and sat at the bar. Really modern and cool vibe inside. Had a black manhattan. But they are a steakhouse and have a variety of cuts and origins. Went with the black angus grand island 14 oz rib eye medium rare. It’s exactly how a medium rare rib eye should be. Juicy, rich and tender. Served with mashed potatoes and a grilled lemon half. Highly recommended.

I had lunch with my family for my birthday celebration. We received outstanding service. Our server tiger was super helpful and made sure we had a great time. Cocktails yummylicious and food sooo good. I had ravioli veal osso buco with black truffles and it was amazing and my kids order dry aged burger prepared to perfection . Eggplant dip also very good. Their food it’s aweslke! I am definitely going back.

Been anticipating this place due to the awesome reputation of Sea Salt and Barbatella. We were blown away! From the front door all the back to the bar, the new renovations pleasantly added a warm neighborhood feel to Dorona's ambiance. It's been a long time since I've had table-side Cesar salad service and the dry aged butcher cabinet added great visuals before we even ordered our steaks. We originally thought we were coming in for the steak selection but stayed for the desserts (carrot cake and gelato) and stellar craft cocktail menu. The Godfather drink was so good, I asked for the recipe to replicate at home. However, it'll never taste as good and I'll have another excuse to come back! Highly recommended!!

I’ve been here several times now. I’ve only been for dinner and I can’t wait to try lunch!! I’ve stuck to steaks for my visits since they are going with a modern Italian Steakhouse menu. I had the dry-aged New York strip and a small Filet Mignon. The filet was my favorite. I also get the Mashed Boursin Truffle Potatoes, it is amazing!! Super creamy and you just can’t go wrong with truffles!! I had the Egg with black truffle salad dip as a starter and I loved it!! I could eat that everyday!! Red velvet cake is interesting with balsamic...it wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t horrible. Mo is the best server! Be sure to ask for him for the best service in Naples!!

My children and I had the pleasure to dine at this wonderful establishment during their pre-opening and what a night it was! The place is wonderful, the food is magnificent,the host/owner is most gracious and the servers were friendly and downright on top of their game. Highly recommended. Garlic mashed potatoes were wonderful. My steak was flavorful (what I could taste of it: see below) and cooked to the right doneness. BUT. WARNING: they seriously char their meats. Downright burn them on the outside, no matter how you like it done. Mine was medium-rare, with a measurable layer of charcoal all over it. A little charring is nice; this was too much—gritty texture in every bite and a burnt taste that overpowered the otherwise lovely flavor of the meat. Service started off great ... until my friend answered honestly about how she liked her filet. “It was okay.” Wow, did our server (Eddie, the bartender) cop an attitude!! Went into a spiel about their process—as if she just didn’t *understand* how it tasted—and then cold-shouldered us, barely another word and no eye contact, even as he took her money. I tried her filet. She’s right: it was okay. But for that price, it should have been incredible. As should the service have been.

Open just 9 days and there are some kinks to work out, but 4 1/2 stars is a great start! 1.Too much down time between salad and entree. 2.The table-side Cesar Salad had lettuce and dressing already in the bowl, is dressing from a bottle? Waiter (Andrew) was great, drinks and food were great, wine prices very reasonable. We WILL be back!
