Super old school awesomeness!!! I’ve been here twice. Both times food is SO good!! Burger was great the first time. This time I had the Captain Jack Pancakes and they are too good!!! Fluffy and full of flavor! I recommend this place to everyone! Friendly service. Everyone is kind, helpful and smiles!! It’s amazing!

The service was great! I ordered the all you can eat fish and chips, they initially came with 3 massive pieces of battered fish and some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Then the waiter comes back 15 mins later with 4 or 5 (can’t remember) more pieces of fish. Obviously wasn’t finishing it all in one sitting, but that fish was really good and I was pleasantly surprised how low the price was. Very old school-looking which is the theme they’re aiming for. We ate there December 2022 and looking forward to coming back this month (we don’t live in the area)

I’m working in the area and staying at a hotel near by. Passed this place and looked them up online. Great menu! Stopped in for take out, sat at the counter and had a cocktail while waiting. Super fast, super friendly and really good diner food. Cool vibe. Plan on going back before I leave.

Absolutely awesome Thanksgiving Turkey meal. Even better than we’ve made at home all these years. And the ladies working up front were fantastic. Exceeded our expectations!!! (Lighting was too bright for us to eat there so we took it home.)

Adriana was one of the best servers that we ever had. We communicated this to the manager who was politely interacting with customers who was also a gem. The portion sizes were large, hot, and delicious. I often go to First Watch, however at Mel's (off Tamiami) you definitely get a whole lot more for your money. Thank you Adriana!

Wide variety of choices makes Mel's a true diner. Have eaten at 2 different locations many times and meals have always been great. Food arrives at your table perfectly - hot or cold. Atmosphere (including background music) is relaxing and adds to one's enjoyment. Have never been disappointed with service - attentive but not overbearing. Also, the prices are on target and reasonable.
