I'm writing this review after ordering two birthday cakes and picking up cupcakes on separate occasions. I've been consistently impressed with the quality of the cakes and cupcakes. However, I'm giving it four stars due to my frustration with something as little as ordering candles. The first time, I ordered number sparkler candles that failed to light up, even with the efforts of three adults. This was particularly awkward to say the least because it was a surprise 50th birthday dinner for a girlfriend. The second time, I noticed on their website that they listed party cake candles (12-pack) for $4.99, so I ordered them to simplify things. I live in San Jose, so my visits are usually to pick up cakes and be on time for my destination. Imagine my frustration when I discovered, en route to pick up the cake, that something as essential as birthday candles wasn't available. They had to credit me back my money. According to an employee, they hadn't carried candles for a while. Why wasn’t I notified but only found out because I called the bakery to confirm my pick-up order? This made me late to meet my friends because I had to find candles elsewhere. I’m an empathetic persons so being tardy is inconsiderate of others. I believe they should update their website/mobile portal to reflect what they actually offer. It's frustrating to offer a service, albeit minimal to some customers, that doesn't benefit customers but, instead, leads to a frustrating experience.

Consistently delicious. Soft, fresh, and out of this world flavors. The Pink Champagne cupcake is my all time favorite, but honestly all of the cupcakes are so so good. The Whoopie Pies are also like crack, so watch out there. I was able to order a custom dozen with only 24hr notice and there was no problem with my order. All why we keep coming back.

I have a bit of a sweet-tooth. Usually it'll be a nice pastry, so a cupcake is the perfect thing to satisfy my cravings. Sift goes above and beyond for me -especially when I have last minute orders. Order online & pick up in store or have the cupcakes delivered for a fee, either way, you cannot go wrong. They have the cutest fondant designs & they can really make your vision become edible & cute. Their employees are very nice & are always able to give suggestions when I do not know what exactly to get. & can we just mention how cute their packaging is? I never have to worry about if something is going to topple over of if it'll get smushed. Their to-go containers are perfect & they keep the sweet treat safe -allowing you to enjoy every bite. Not in the mood for cupcakes? That's totally fine. They offer other sweet treats that'll make you want more. & let me just add one more thing, I'm not a huge fan of frosting but here, the frosting to cake ratio is perfect. The cake is moist & the frosting is not too sweet.
