Good Eat In -- Worth A Little Wait. We have eaten at the location and also gotten the pizza to go. The inside is shabby, the seating is limited, the space is tight. . .but the pizza is good. Homemade sausage, tangy pepperoni, sweet sauce, plenty of cheese, good crust.
The eat-in is an experience because the phone constantly rings with pizza orders and the people line up till they are out the door to pick up their orders. Yes, they only accept cash, but so do many places around here (for reasons that totally escape my plastic-only wallet).
The pick up was a little different. The pizza was so hot out of the oven, that the toppings slid all over the place by the time my husband got it home. That wasn't great.
The pizza is greasy . . . so if you have issues, use a napkin on the top and you're fine. The owners and workers are busy. CRAZY busy, but you can see their progress and them making the pizzas behind the clear plexiglass window. The owner has given my son a dollar every time we have been there, just because my son is polite.
I'll do a lot for good pizza. This is good pizza.
Thin crust, sweet sauce & plenty of cheese. Generous helpings of Pepperoni & sausage served piping hot. Self serve soda.
I’ve been going there since the 80s !!For Especially Pizza 🍕 and Pierogis with Butter and steamed Onions!Pizza & Bottles of Soda are just like the old fashioned ones.
Stopped by today . Sat in and had some pierogies and a cheese pizza and took one pizza home. Excellent food!!! Tasted the same as it did 50 years ago.
Best pizza I have ever had. Unfortunately I live 2 hours away and only make it to Nanticoke twice a year to plant cemetery flowers. I try to come up on a Friday and usually buy 8-10 pies. They freeze pretty well. I usually eat an entire pie on the drive home. I had to make the trip this past Saturday and tried another Nanticoke shop. Not the same. Please try to open on Saturdays!
Open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
What the heck is that.
I used to love to get pizza to bring home as I live an hour away. Pretty hard when your closed more then your open.
How can a pizza place not be open through football season on weekends at a minimum is crazy.
This is my favorite pizza, I’ll probably never be able to have again, because the family owned and operated business of 50 plus years doesn’t want to open for business?
We are new to Nardozzo's. It is our very favorite pizza. It took years to find them and I'm loyal to them already. Have a little understanding people.....they can't get help. People especially students are too busy with sports and other activities. There are signs everywhere HIRING. Co-vid changed everything. Let's support our small businesses instead of criticizing them for something they have no control of. GREAT PIZZA is worth a little compassion and understanding.

A wonderful NEPA pizza shop. As of this review, they are only open Friday our family has always loved the pizza and perogies.
This place is the best- friendly staff- always incredibly thankful for business! There is no better place for pizza and pierogis! My family will continue to travel 45 minutes to enjoy!
Best pizza ever. Grew 2 blocks away. Moved away but everytime I visited, I ordered 4 pies after landing at AVP to last the visit.
Only knock is that it's hard at times to order. Can tell the demand is crazy and you often can't get through when they set the phone down. Not uncommon to see 80 pizza order boxes stacked up in a queue when you arrive on a Friday.
Can't beat their pepperoni!
This place has the best tasting pizza I have ever had.
The sauce is sweet, the crust is real thin and the Colby Cheddar Cheese they use
gives their pie such a great taste that I have never found anywhere else.
One other fact about this place is when they make your pie, the cheese goes on first then the sauce. I have not seen that done before, it rules !!!
If you love pizza this place is a must stop in and eat.
Nardozzo's has really good pizza but they cut the pizza in pieces are bigger so there are less. If you are having a party or having multiple people over I would definitely recommend getting multiple pies. Also if you want to eat in I recommend ordering it through the phone first Sometimes you will have to wait an hour or 30 minutes or half hour to get your pizza. So instead of getting angry going there and having to wait for a long time just call First & Order ahead of time. Then you can go in and eat your pizza if you want. It just makes things better and easier. Parking isn't the best and sometimes it's hard to find a spot as well but all in all their Pizza taste good and that's all I care about. They also have other food and drinks in case you were wondering. They also make the pizza right there so you can watch as they make it
Im 34 and living in Oregon. I was born and raised in Nanticoke, Pa until I was 11 and this pizza was always the best. I had my mom buy, package and overnight ship me 2 pies this week and they are simply delicious. Nostalgia at its best. Thank you for still having that same great taste.
Outstanding pizza. I used to go here many years ago, but stopped when I moved out of area. Now that I am back, this is my go to place for pizza. The pizza is still super delicious. Try it. You won't be sorry you did. Owners are very friendly and you get service with a smile.
I'm not even sure where to begin. I've been a customer for 30 years! My family for much longer.
This is the best pizza anywhere. Arthur Ave can't compete!
Then, add peirogies, pancakes and the rest of their menu .... and they're unbeatable!
First time here and won't be the last. We had the cheddar pierogies and a large plain pizza. The dough on the pierogies after being fried was light and fluffy and the pizza was a nice kinda sweet sauce aka not too sweet!
Great prices
It's the best pizza in the nanticoke area of luzerne county have been eating it since I was a young child it has that old school pizza place feel walk in old school tables and chairs. Look at the menu made from the ones you place the letters in still. It only accepts cash is the only down fall in my opinion but that some adds to it's original character. Has a sweet sauce but not too sweet and just the right amount of cheese. They put their own boxes together still and they only make pizza perogies and potatoes pancakes on certain days they will be retiring soon so get your dose of it in now for the next couple years. It's a great family owned friendly business to enjoy a nice tray of bacon and cheese pizza without being over priced.
The pizza has a taste that very few pizzerias can match, the quality hasn't wavered in over 50 years , that can't be said for 99% of generational pizza parlors.
The value is outstanding, where can you go for $11 and get such quality ingredients in a full size pie? Ask yourself what you paid for a bar or speciality pie last time . RUN dont walk to Nardozzo,s . You'll be happy.
