Great food and good service. Drinks were cold and strong. Not crowded at all, and right off Myrtle beach. Perfect spot for good, fresh seafood while still being low key and laid back. Had a bad experience with a different oyster bar in the area so we went here instead and it had a way better experience and food anyhow. Will be back next time I’m in the area. The burger was also fantastic which we weren’t expecting for a seafood restaurant. Pleasantly surprised!
We are visiting from out of town. We got the raw oysters, fried oyster platter and the fish platter. The portions are large. The food was delicious and our server was excellent. She was always making sure we had everything we needed. Made sure our drinks were full. If we are ever back in town we definitely will be back.
Went as a family. Nice place. Was totally empty, so was relatively fast. Our server was pretty good. Food wasn't bad, we ordered a bunch of everything pretty much. We did get over charged, but didn't realize it until later. Yet overall a good experience.
This place is epic. I always look for the "local spot" and this was that in every way. Cozy, fun and authentic. Shared a crab cake with my companion and had the blackened grouper. Both fantastic. Companion raves about the shrimp tacos. Bartender was the daughter of ownership and was fun and conversational. Bar started to fill with locals for a Friday happy hour and it was fun to experience a very local atmosphere.
Some of the best food around. And great service. Our waitress was friendly, attentive (but not in a hovering annoying she kept good pace and good conversation but gave us our space), and fun...something you don't find anymore in service industry. The fish tacos were amazing, the raw oysters were cold and fresh, the steak was cooked perfectly (better than the expensive chains), and scallops were cooked just right. The broccoli may be the best I have ever had. We will return every time we are in town
Really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and delicious seafood. I'm picky about oysters and these did not disappoint. Very large-sized and fresh, and the server could tell us exactly where they came from. The scallops, fried shrimp and new potatoes were scrumptious. We scooped up the french fries our kid didn't finish because they were too good. Servers were kind and friendly, taking time to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed, and our kids were happy. I would definitely recommend for those who don't like the buffets and crowded atmosphere up the beach.
Excellent! Went for lunch. Very welcoming and friendly place. Kids played darts while waiting for food. 18% gratuity was automatically added to ticket, but it was fine.
We visited this restaurant on Friday for lunch while we were passing through. The ambiance was inviting with a beach style atmosphere. The waiter was friendly and personable. The raw oysters were huge and delicious!!
Fantastic! Old school Oyster house that serves very fresh oysters and seafood. We ordered two dozen raw oysters and they are served with saltines and cocktail sauce, lemons, and horseradish. Also ordered the Seafood Boil with crab legs. One of the best Low Country boils I have ever had. Our server Candius was great! If you are looking for authentic local atmosphere and great oysters this is the place to go.
(Corrected Grammar from 11 months ago) Everybody thought the food and service was the best we'd had in Myrtle Beach and on our trip down south except me. They were all 5 starts or 4.75. I wasn't as impressed. I took the local guide's suggestion of a po boy for dinner but wasn't impressed with it or the red potatoes. Service was very good. Sweet tea not very. The wife thought the clam chowder was the best she'd ever eaten. I was, as always the downer of the group. No mask wearing anywhere except with us. We were a group of 4 for dinner. I did love the tacos and chips with the spinach dip I thought the dip was too watery. The chips seemed sprayed with a spicy flavoring much like old bay with a kick.
Best seafood I've had here in Myrtle beach! The Original Shuckers. Local hangout. Food was great. Friendly staff (including the guys not working today).
Their Happy Hour specials were amazing! Never been here before but definitely coming back on our next trip. The lightly steamed oysters were succulent and steamed perfectly. Just be prepared to shuck them yourself.. The steamed spiced shrimp was also amazing.
My husband and I went during their 4-6 (M-F) happy hour and hot the raw oysters. They were absolutely delicious and so good for the happy hour price! The bartender was so kind and helpful and the atmosphere was laid back. My husband and I truly enjoyed it here for our dinner!
Fantastic find for seafood and happy hour! Steamed or raw oysters for $.75 served with cocktail sauce, drawn butter, fresh horseradish and saltines. Spiced shrimp and mussels for $.65. Can't speak to the mussels because we didn't make it past the shrimp and oysters. Definitely not skimpy. Happy hour runs from 4-6 daily with an all you can eat oyster roast on Saturday afternoon. Drink specials and other appetizer specials as well. Friendly wait staff and an open air eating area. Shuckers will be a must stop on all return visits!
Great food and fabulous service. We were in town on a business trip and found this gem. The shrimp and lobster dip appetizer was amazing. Catch of the day was grouper and delicious. The service was on par with the food, friendly and casual - we felt welcome. The restaurant had a nice casual local feel. Next time we are in town on business we will make plans to return.
This place is amazing! Staff are always lovely even when super busy. Food is top notch and you can really see the love the staff have for the place.
It was A1. Asked a local because we usually go to Binimins but we figured we would try a different place that had steam pots & Oysters. So we gave it a shot wasn’t disappointed by any means. The place is exactly what we expected ORIGINAL and a little historical. 5 ⭐️
