I travel to Munster from Cleveland, OH frequently for work and on one trip I thankfully happened to stumble across the gem of Little Tokyo! The sushi is always beautifully presented and delicious, as well as reasonably priced. Every time I am in the area, I always stop at Little Tokyo! I recommend the Iso Yuki Maki roll and the miso soup.
My favorite sushi place around. Little Tokyo has a variety of appetizers, is vegetarian-friendly, and the staff is very friendly. I am vegetarian and they will make the rolls for me that are not on the menu. They don't put too much rice in the rolls, which is good, and the rice is soft, which I enjoy the most. I used to work in an Asian fusion restaurant, so I know which means good and fresh.
Fresh Food!. I love sushi, but it's ten times better when you can taste the freshness! Little Tokyo embodies an essence of traditional Sushi (or what I at least think it should taste like). The hosts are beyond nice, though I feel as if they constantly hire lazy kids that take forever to get to your table. My husband and I were in there a while back. It was our table, and another 2. The server (which there was one at the time) took 30 minutes to even come to our table. The only time you will get great service is when the owners take your order, other than that, they have amazing food, beautiful decor, just lazy bratty kids that don't care that they have a job in the worst economy!

Perfect small sushi place. Very authentic. Love the aquarium, the small sushi bar. Cute little place. Seems like family there. Been there lunch and dinner numerous times! Always the best sushi around.
Had a delicious lunch at little Tokyo yesterday the service was beyond a doubt some of the best I've ever had. Kevin the server was very nice and helpful. He even gave me a lesson about lychee lol didn't really know what it was till then but I'm definitely gunna order it next time if they haven't ran out of it. And without a doubt the firecracker roll was the best sushi roll on the menu besides the snowmountain roll. I can honestly say this was a gem and I will make sure to come back again.
This place was amazing,especially for smaller parties/couples or individuals looking for a good personal time out. This restaurant when you enter seems to be of its own world and has great entree options ranging from sushi to tempura, noodles and more. The desert selection was great, as I had mochi. They carry not only traditional American drinks but even these nifty cool bottled sodas that I def recommend either grape or lychee.
We had the nicest experience!! The woman was so friendly to my son and I. She was genuinely cared wither we enjoyed the sushi. It was delicious! She gave recommendations. She was interested in what my son liked and offered him a Japanese Soda. Then at then end, sent him with a handful of treats and candy.
It was such a personalized experience and the food was great!!
A buddy and I ordered Little Tokyo Special Roll #3 Iso Yuki Maki and #27 Viking Roll with the Vegetable Tempura Appetizer. Everything was excellent even at 9pm. It was my first time, $31.00 for the meal and I will definitely go back.
My sister and I visited here on our way back to Michigan from Chicago. When we entered, it was charming and we we're greeted by a woman named Serena. She was very efficient. She even gave us free miso soups for getting three rolls of sushi. It was so nice of her. Two by two our rolls came out to where my sister and I would both get a new roll at the same time. It was a nice change apart from what we're used to, which is waiting to receive all of the sushi at once. I would STRONGLY recommend the Munster roll and the crazy roll. The place was clean, service was nice, efficient and the food was great! The whole experience was great, I plan to go back next time we are in Chicago. Thank you!!
