Not a very spacious dine in not even close to a great ambience but this place is indeed an unexplored underdog Out of our 5 day stay in Juhu we had 4days and 5 meals at this place. The polichattu, chicken curries and the thallesery biriyani are spell binding. The prawns and fish are at par or even better than normal considering the size and portion. A great place with great food with a pocket pinch of 800 for two if you opt for seafood otherwise 500approx for two . It is an amazing lunch home with great staff.

Very good authentic kerela food. Lunch, I always have Thali. Weekends they serve it on banana leaf. The veg. Thali and dishes are well worth the cost. Though I find their non vegetarian fare is pricey for the quantity they serve -Taste ways its good but pricey . Definitely recommend .

Had a really nice lunch here. Being late on a Friday afternoon, the place was quite empty. I didn't notice if there was any inside seating, but we sat on the outside section. It's protected from the heat and dust of the narrow lane Nambiar's is location by a wall of fake plants. There was just two other tables occupied out of the approximate 7 - 8 of I remember correctly.
The waiters were very polite and attentive but didn't seem to know English or Hindi very fluently but just enough to be able to get their message across and understand yours. Don't expect any detailed recommendations.
We had the chicken thaali, the prawn masala and a parotha. They brought us a veg thaali and when we asked them, they said the chicken gravy would be coming soon which was a bit strange but oh well. The parotha was just nice and flaky, the way rjs supposed to be. Just wish it arrived while it was hot. The prawn masala was just superb. The gravy / masala itself and the parotha satisfied my spicy, south indian food cravings. The thaali was served with the fat red boiled rice typical from South and Konkan regions. Really delicious, really filling. Served with a bucket (literally) of yum home style sambaar, rasaam and two or three other vegetable dishes whose names I've forgotten already. The late arrival of the chicken was worth it. Huge pieces of chicken in a tasty homely gravy.
The two of us couldn't finish all of the food we ordered, we left with our bellies full and two dabbas full too. I'd easily say that this place is value for money. Great food.

A bit difficult to spot if not familiar with Juhu..its at the entrance of Juhu market near Arogyanidhi..small space, under 10 tables. No aircon but the fans run at full speed so it's quiet cool for the current season.Got the Chicken Nadan Banana Leaf..comes with pickle, cabbage, avial,a small smattering of boondi in curd and banana chips.Next comes the Kerala boiled rice which has a thicker consistency that normal rice. They usually top it with some sambar. The chicken Nadan Curry comes separately, and is not spicy but has a good balance of it,not bland either.
Food was tasty, but could be warmer..it was quite lukewarm.I was the first to arrive so service was fast, but midway it filled up and it began to falter..there was only one guy running around initially.
Will be back to try other things soon.

How often you visit some place just to explore it out of random places and end up at one hell of an authentic food joint. Well, my experience at Nambiar was similar to the line is used to describe it.
This is one place where one can enjoy Kerala based preparation of food and if you love spices especially South Indian one than this place is a gem from our viewpoint.
Starting with starters I tried their Nadaan chicken dry and prawns dry fry. Both of which had a typical taste of South and I really loved the spicy flavor of prawns dry which had some secret ingredient which made it sweet and spicy. Nadaan chicken dry was deep fried chicken. Freshly prepared with no particular taste overpowering another. I also tried Prawns Pollichathu which was prawns prepared and cooked in banana leaf which Coconut milk flavored semicurry. It had a mild touch of Thai curry flavor maybe because of similar ingredients but it was totally scrumptious.
Finally, I tried with King fish curry with Malabar parotha which was really soft and tender. It was not heavy at all unlike many places which serves Malabar parotha but mixes soda making it one parotha enough but I alone gulped down two of them. Truly delicious.
If you plan to go here let the meal end on authentic sweet note with payasum which I have never had such a great and subtle texture with. The service of this place is quite fast. One must try the Biryani which is readily served and fresh also. Great atmosphere and awesome location for a authentic restaurant like this to be.

Kerala has always been famous for rich and exotic spices because of which Kerala is known as the “Land of spice”. Similarly Nambiar’s Kerala Kitchen in Juhu brings you numerous lip-smacking dishes prepared out of seafood, poultry, rice and much more. Though it has been newly opened but it surely has been hearts of people around the city with its authentic Kerala food. Swaagatham people of Mumbai….
Food:
1> Prawns dry Fry – Small baby prawns shallow fried in coconut oil and marinated with spices. Essence of being in the streets of Kerala could be actually felt by the presentation of the dish served on banana leaf. Good to go for the appetizers.
2> Nadan Chicken Dry Fry – Don’t judge the dish by its name with the very first bite of it I could literally feel the spicy level. Yet piece of chicken were properly marinated and turned out to be juicy and delectable. Would Recommend for them who handle spice in their lives…
3> Thalassery Biryani – Being a biryani lover so far I have tasted many different types of biryani across the city. Thalassery Biryani has altogether a different show of its own. As Thalassery in Kerala is well – known for its biryani (biri-yaa-ni) because of its unique aroma popping out from the spices and taste comes from the Kaima rice used in the preparation.
4> Pomfret Pollichhatu (Banana Wrapped Fish) – Kerala being seafood’s lover paradise you can definitely go for this fresh catch. Fish along with masala is wrapped tight in banana leaf and roasted on a pan allowing the fish to cook in the steam. Simply a treat to your taste buds.
Drinks:
1> Chaas – To be the heat we had the chaas which was spicy yet refreshing to accompany with the rest of the dishes.
Ambience – Ambience is kept simple and minimal given the desi touch with wall paintings representing the life in kerala along with coconut tree covered with lights. Would recommend to visit post sunset as in afternoons these days could be uncomfortable since there is no AC.
Service – Our attendant Mr. Cyril had good knowledge of the dishes and quick enough to respond to any of our queries.
Food – 5/5
Drinks – 5/5
Service – 5/5
Ambience – 4/5
Wah – leh – ray NAN- hi Nambiar Kerala Kitchen for a scrumptious evening.
