Never had Thai food before so I was really excited to try this place out while I was in the area. Everything was fantastic, from the service to the atmosphere to the drinks to the food, couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I ordered the Blue Dolphin 🐬 and the Kao Mo-Kai. Both were delicious and the dish itself was so, so good. Might not be able to come back due to distance, but I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you're around Mountain Brook.
The new renovations look great! The remodel looks very modern and is purpose built for the new post covid normal. There are two separate entrances for dine in and carry out. This makes it easy to get a to go order without walking through the dining room. Or see the hostess without walking through folks waiting to pick up orders. The bar area is larger and it's now easier to eat and have drinks. The redesign also showcases the sushi chefs better.
Only opportunity for improvement is sushi speed. We got our appetizers and entrees and two rounds of drinks before the sushi came. And we ordered sushi immediately when we were seated.
But food is always great, portions leave a leftover for lunch the next day, and the new dining room feels more like a dining experience than just a place to get a bite.
Tasty food, our waitress was nice and helpful, Great environment, it looks better with the renovation. Recommended.
Go early. No just another Great Sushi restaurant. Full menu. I always get them to substitute pineapple for a vegetable because they prepare it so well. Everything is cooked after you order it. Very polite. Fun to dress up to go there. You'll see people you know.
Stumbled on this place driving back to Texas. Best Thai food we’ve ever had! Sauce and seasonings were perfect and not overbearing, allowing the taste of the food to shine. We did not try the Sushi. Unexpected memorable food experience . If you like Thai food you will not be disappointed.
The renovated restaurant looks great. The food is very good. Loudest restaurant I have ever eaten in. Every table was full & I could not hear my wife from across the table, or the waitress. The waitress basically used sign language to ask if I wanted more water. The restaurant desperately needs some sound absorbing soft panels added to the walls or ceiling or both.
Nicely setup on the inside. Service was fast and the food was good.
