Laura's Cheesecake

My wife loves this local treasure, a trendy lunch/desert style restaurant that makes their own cookies/cheesecake/meals all avalible for dine in or to go. Staff is always upbeat and atmosphere is fun. I have enjoyed several sandwiches here and the cookies are A+. They sell T-shirts so its also a good tourist stop. (The locals wear them all the time.)

I finally got around to trying out Laura's Cheesecake today and it absolutely blew me away! I ordered a chicken fajita wrap with a sweet tea - the tea was a tad overly sweet, but the wrap made up for it. The tortilla was pretty good, the ingredients were excellent tasting and very fresh, the accompanying salsa verde held the exact right amount of spice, and the tortilla chips were fresh, crispy, and not too salty. A great lunch that didn't sit too heavy and was very dynamic in flavor. I then ordered a slice of key lime cheesecake and you could tell that the whipped cream was made in house - it was that good. The cheesecake itself was very good and I, for one, will be sad to see it go at the end of the season.
