A friend recommended this place and I’m so glad he did—this was a hidden gem I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Basically a little shack on the creek, come here for an amazing sunset and fantastic food. I had the fried seafood platter and while everything was amazing, the scallops were the highli
Two words: Worth it! This is a unassumingly great spot for fresh shrimp and local catches. I have learned that if a place is known for their fried fish/shrimp options, you absolutely need to get it fried. We arrived around 4:45pm on a week day and there was already a few cars in the lot with peopl
Very unique experience almost hidden on Shem Creek! We loved it! Seafood is perfectly cooked. We got shrimp, oysters, and scallops. We will be back on our next trip to Charleston!
Ok, here it is. If you expect valet and white gloves, move along. If you want great seafood surrounded by fishing boats and docks, park and stay.
The food is awesome, we had fried shrimp and grilled shrimp. We finished off with key lime pie and banana pudding. We would definitely go back.
Can't think of a more perfect place. Food is amazing, service was great, and it's been consistently great for many years. Great to come back to Charleston time after time and eat here. And those boiled peanuts!
Jules, our server couldn't have been more friendly! Best fried shrimp in Mt. Pleasant! Cool local hangout. Everything is made from scratch too! If you live this place, check out, The Southern! Owned by the same family and I will say that you won't be disappointed!
Don't be fooled by the rough exterior. It's actually part of the charm. From the time we walked through the door until we left, we had a great experience. The only glitch is that you won't be able to order your favorite Burbon. Beer and Wine only.
Great "hole in the wall" restaurant on the 'creek' that treats you like family. Food menu is small but DELICIOUS!
When you look at it, you know what you're getting. It's very consistent.
We enjoyed dinner with a water view ! They brought boiled peanuts for us to share before dinner.
Good local spot for seafood. It's the fish shack vibes and atmosphere that has been left behind that is one of the better parts. All of the new restaurants have more modern industrial and hollow feel to them. The fried fish was great, so was the fried hominy, and hush puppies.
We absolutely loved it here! The food was really good and I would recommend the banana pudding for dessert. My family and I came to eat here because of the show Outer Banks on Netflix and it was so cool to be in the places it was filmed but we liked it even more because of how nice the people who wo
We had the best crab legs here last Thursday (I think they do them every Thursday for October and some of November). They were piping hot, boiled perfectly, and had a lot of flavor. There was an outside band playing and the bartender, Piper, was very sweet and attentive. The Wreck is nice compared t
Out of town and found this hidden gem. Saturday evening wait time was reasonable. While your wait they have s outdoor bar with awesome views. Went with the grilled shrimp 8 oz and she crab soup. That 8 oz comes with sides. Definitely didn't go wrong with this meal. Would definitely recommend to find
Had a great time here. The clam chowder was excellent, fresh. You get all the boiled peanuts you want, tasted superb. We had the sea food combo plotter, shrimp scallops and flounder was top notch! Will definitely come again. Great local spot!
First of all, yes the very sketchy place with a red door and no sign is the restaurant. The place looks pretty run down both inside and out. It's hot and bare bones inside and you can't see out of the windows. We stumbled on it after driving around not wanting to pay to park at the restaurant we wer
I hesitate to give this hidden gem of Mount pleasant a great review because it is one of the last holdouts of old Mount pleasant.
I love this place. If I could give the owners any advice I would say don't change a thing.
This is my favorite restaurant in Mount pleasant.
Had to try out based on reviews and being a scene on the Netflix show Outer Banks. Line waiting to open was a good sign! Simple no frills type of place but great solid food. The menu isn't large as they stick to what they are good at. Fried shrimp were amazing and service top notch. Yes the a/c wasn
