Delicious salvadorian food!!! It was my first time trying food from el Salvador and it won't be that last. My kids wanted the guacamole witch was AMAZING! fresh and execute to perfection my wife and I where in heaven tasting it with recently fried corn chips and the portion was huge. My wife also got the short rib soup and I got the chorizo and cheese pupusas, all was great. We will be back for more.
Woah! This place is delicious! The plates are very well served! You will not leave hungry. It was even though to decide what to order. Food came out in a very timely manner. The pupusas are by far my favorite I have ever had.
Great place for soup! Their sopa de res is delicioso! Small place that can get very busy from one second to the next. Nice portions when it comes to meals. Pupusas are ok, not the best but that's just me. Meals are made fresh so expect a wait. Well worth it! Service was attentive and friendly. Cost of food is excellent. Good cup of coffee as well.
Get the carne asada (skirt steak), it's delicious. As is the rice mixed with beans and the homemade corn tortilla (which feels more like a tostada in thickness texture and quality).
First time, great food. Best homemade tortillas and horchata. Had to get a large horchata to go.
The pupusas we're delicious! They were not greasy, and they were toasted just right. The curtido was plentiful, and not too tart, with good crunch. The tomato salsa was average. It could have used a hint more spice, but they have plenty of hot sauce bottles to adjust the heat to your liking. We ordered 4 pupusas, a large order fries (which we're thin and crispy, not what we came for but a pleasant surprise) and a soda for under 20 bucks. Not bad.
The decor is about what you would expect from this kind of establishment, it's casual. You can walk up to the counter for to or just grab a table for dining in. Although some might feel it's not much to look at, it was clean and the food was great!
Tacos were prepared fresh and were authentic as well as the hand-made taco wrap. The order took a little time to come out but that's because it was all made fresh. I would go back
Although I'm not Salvadorean, I've eaten a lot of pupusas in my lifetime and I thought the pupusas here were much better than your average pupusas! I tried the loroco (an mild-flavored, edible flower which is "extra cheesy" flavor to me) and the pork (flavorful and moist, like the stuff that most Americans are used to, in my opinion). The flavors were authentic, and they provided you with plenty of the cabbage salad to accompany your meal. I hate it when people skimp on the cabbage salad when you order pupusas!!!
I removed one star because I was unhappy about the wait time. I felt a little misinformed by the Google Local Review listing this place as a "quick bite" because we ended up waiting a good 15-20 minutes for pupusas. If you indeed want a quick bite from this place, you will have to place a "to-go" order on the phone.
While the waitresses could speak some limited English, I found it easier to communicate in Spanish -- which will depend on your comfort and fluency, of course. I don't remove stars for this usually, because I believe one of the positive traits about this place is its taste and authenticity. Just be aware if you do try to come in or place a phone order.
Without a doubt, this is the BEST Spanish food I’ve ever eaten! My favorite dishes are: Carne Asada, Sopa de Pollo, Tacos de Res & Pupusas de Queso.
All ingredients are so fresh!!
Waitresses and owner are so friendly & helpful.
100% recommend Rincón Santaneco to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious Spanish food!
Muy deliciosa comida latina y no es muy cara. Delicious Salvadoran food and not very expensive. Papusas (stuffed corncakes)! Tamarindo (sweetened tamarind juice)! Local, casual atmosphere. Ambiente informal.
The staff are very nice but do not speak fluent English, so if you have questions or special requests it helps to know at least some Spanish or have your Google translate open.
