I’ve been eating smoked fish for 70 years…seriously. Trust me, you will never taste better nova, sable, whitefish, sturgeon, etc anywhere! And plus I lived in NYC on the Upper Westside for 20 years. I know what I’m talking about:) Go there. PS, you can call them in advance to place your order.

Very fresh smoked fish. Friendly owners will explain the the various types of fish should you may not be familiar with. Long lines for holidays. The smell of the smoked fish makes you want to buy everything. It’s worth the trip to buy there.

OMG talk how about Deli Foods! This is the go-to place for everywhere near Scarsdale and North 20 miles. Is it is a hole in the wall and easy to miss. Although there is plenty of parking and it is wheelchair accessible. Take out only, no dining in.

Mt Kisco Smokehouse is the best Smokehouse you'll ever find, run by a wonderful family of brothers for decades. Go there as fast as you can. I live in VT, but have continued to go there when I'm in Croton, NY, and also have them ship orders to me with 1 day delivery. Outstanding in every way.

The best lox period. Manhattanites can keep their Russ and Daughters. I'll take the Smokehouse any day.
