Review Oishii Asian Restaurant - Mount Juliet

Favorite local gem. Best sushi around. Service is always great. Menu is great. Place is always clean and welcoming. Visit about every other week. A+

This is my favorite place to go. The sushi is amazing and I love the staff. They are always so welcoming and friendly and the food is top notch.

We've ate at this restaurant before and it was excellent. Tonight the food was horrible. The miso soup tasted odd. The spring rolls were more wrap then filling. All the entries were luke warm. No one finished their meal. By the time we got home we were all sick. We will not be returning to the Oishii again.

I absolutely love it here. The staff are always friendly and the food is great. The first time I went I ordered the Volcano roll and it was so amazing I had to go back for it. While I have yet to try their hibachi, I have only heard good things about it.

Great food with a friendly Staff. This is my favorite place to eat. We went there for a family get together. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I have eaten here once and I did really enjoy it. I had unagi (eel) sushi, ramen and sake. The sushi was fresh and of high quality. The ramen was also great. I learned that sake isn't my thing but that's OK. The restaurant was super clean and tidy. My server was polite and helpful.

In here, you're family. The fish is always so fresh and the sushi and sashimi are the most reasonably priced with the best value for the quality. However, it's the service with a genuine smile that keeps us coming back.

Everything was delicious as always! Would have given 5 stars if the hibachi cook had not over cooked my steak. I ask for medium rare, when he put the steak chunks on my plate my husband knew it was over cooked because it wasn't even pink. He ask the cook if he understood that I ask for medium rare and he acknowledged yes...so my husband politely ask him if the steaks that were not cooked yet were filets and he said yes. Then he ask him to cook one of those medium rare for me and he would take the steak on my plate, the cook acknowledged. Then he proceeds to over cook that steak too!! Another issue was that the veggies were overcooked. They were put on the grill first and distributed last. It has been a long time since I have been blessed to go to my favorite restaurant and I don't like to give negative reviews unless it is deserving. I am not sure if the cook was new or if he really didn't understand what we were saying. The food was still delicious and enjoyed after being deprived of it for over 2 years!

The food was probably worth 3 stars but after giving the hibachi chef a $10 cash tip and adding a little more to the check... the waiter ran out the door to confront us about the tip we left him. He ignored us during our visit and a 2nd server gave us our soup, salad, drink refills and bused our plates. Based on the lack of service he gave us, he did not earn any type of tip and shouldve been grateful we left him anything. Though the chef and our 2nd server were friendly and served us well, we will NOT be returning to this restaurant due to our original waiter's unprofessional attitude and behaviour.

We are so excited to finally have a delicious Chinese restaurant on our side of town in MJ! The food is fresh and delicious. The prices are excellent and the management and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We have eaten here 3 times in the last week - overall, we have tried the General Tso's, Mongolian Beef, Triple Schezuan, Honey Chicken and Shrimp Lo Mein entrees. ALL delicious. And hands down, the best Wonton Soup I have ever eaten! We look forward to trying their hibachi and sushi menu items as well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Awesome sushi, didn't try the hibachi though. The wasabi was on point too.

Great Hibachi stop for lunch. I had the scallops husband had the steak. Most yummy. The staff was also great!!! We will be back!

Best fried rice I have ever had! Service was speedy and very entertaining!! My kids loved the Japanese firefighter 🤣. Very well priced too. Great place for a date or the entire family! We will definitely return each time we are in the area!

My husband and I wanted to try this place tonight based on the reviews. . We both got soup, salad, and sushi. . The salad was the only thing we thought was good. They were busy so it took a min to get our sushi.. The sushi isn't big either and the prices are a tad high. I think we'll stick with Hana in Mt Juliet or Smyrna sushi places. .

The sushi is always good here. I gave 4 stars because it did take them a while to come to our table for drinks. But otherwise the service was good.

Best service and food I ever had. Food was fresh and ready promptly. The workers are super nice and check and make sure you are doing good and everything taste great. I love the variety of the menu as well. I will definitely be back!

I haven't even received my food yet and I love this place. The atmosphere is perfect and the service I got was great. I can tell they are very family oriented, and I love that they have their children here. Assuming the food is as good as it sounds and smells, I will definitely be back. 4 stars only because it was a little high in price for 2 meals and a sushi roll without drinks.

The food is above average but the service is horrible. The staff is very rude and acts as if they don't want you at the restaurant. So the food is great but the service is terrible.

I love this place, very good food and service. I encourage all of mount Juliet to visit for lunch or dinner. Top notch!

Terrible service, placed an order for pick up 25 min in advance and still waited 15 min. Also over charged me for order. When confronted she got a severe attitude with me for no reason. If you don't specify you want the lunch order when you order on lunch, she makes sure to charge you for the hefty dinner prices, even when you are there at lunch. Overpriced for mediocre food. Bad experience.

Great Place, Really Affordable. The service is good for a Asian restaurant where the owner and employees speak English as a second or third language, they are very nice and attentive but as expected understand very little.<br/><br/>The food is amazing for the price, very good presentation, and their restaurant is probably one of the cleanest in Mt. Juliet.

TERRIBLE service. I went with my family for the first time on Saturday evening. It was only about half full in there, yet we had terrible service. Our servers name was Ann and barely spoke English and was rude the entire time. The hibachi was fantastic though and their sushi is subpar (if you want great sushi go to roll, wraps, and stix in hermitage) so I may go back one more time, but if the service is as terrible again nothing will make me come back.

Awesome!. We love this place. We frequent there often. The sushi is great, service is wonderful, and the hibachi is awesome. I would highly recommend to anyone. :)

Bad Food, Bad Service. Did we go on an off day? There was no one in the restaurant but the service was horrible. The food was gross and full of MSG. There are way better places!
