Review Jonathan's Grille - Mount Juliet

Things that standout are the quality food, customer service and menu options - there is something for every age and taste buds. Due to time constraints, did a carry out order and the Greek pizza was fantastic. Wonderful pesto sauce with well baked crust and quality toppings - Incredible food! People are extremely friendly and take care of the customers well. The only downside, this place is super packed both inside and out. Limited parking space during peak hours, also get a little loud at times. In the providence are, easily accessible with quality food and service - Highly recommend!

I am thankful this place stays open late because we walked in the door well after 9pm…. Service was awesome. Wish I could remember our servers name to compliment him on here. I am always skeptical of waiters who do not write anything down, especially on LARGE orders, but surprisingly ALL the food came out just as ordered. Drinks stayed topped off and everything tasted great. If we ever pass through here again, this will be our go to.

Great environment! Great food! Great drinks! Fair prices. Come here a lot and have never had an issue. Just this once though, I was served these cucumbers with frostbites. Not impressed on that. Would have been fine if I was just informed they were out of cucumbers and not been served it. Still a 5 star.

Great atmosphere and drink selection! Love their pizza. Fajita nachos are incredible. Great place to catch a game if you're in the Providence area. Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh! So delicious! We haven't been to Jonathan's in years. What fools. LOL! We came on a Friday, so we knew there would be a wait, which ended up being 30 minutes. We're so glad we stayed. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken slider appetizer; pepperoni, mushroom, sausage pizza with cauliflower crust; and French dip. Holy cow. I cannot compliment the food enough it was so delicious. Emily, our server, was bubbly, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. With two beers and the food, the bill was $68.

Came in for dinner and had Austin as our server, & we definitely enjoyed our visit. Austin was super awesome & joy to have as a server. Our food was really good per usual. I come here pretty often and everything alway goes smooth. They offer two sides. Good place for restaurant vibes with family or bar vibes with friends.

We celebrated the end of a work day, ordered an assortment of appetizers and caught up, on the front patio! This place even provided perfect weather! The waitress was helpful, fast and when our food arrived, an entourage of helpers delivered!! Teamwork at its best! The fried dill pickles were seasoned perfectly, not too salty like many can be! The hot chicken sliders could have been hotter. Don’t kill me yall, but my friends did say they were kinda hot! All the food was quite tasty!

The food was absolutely delicious. We had Caribbean Chicken and teriyaki salmon. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Our server, Caitlin, was knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. She also took very good care of us. We never ran out of drinks and she was always readily available for whatever we needed. We will definitely come again.

Went on "two for Tuesday". Two for one beer and pizza. Enough said really. Pizza was really good, good selection of beer, good service. Nice atmosphere and plenty of seating. Pretty impressed with the place.

This was my third visit to Jonathan's in Mt. Juliet, and will be my last because no restaurant ran this way deserves my patronage or money. Upon arrival there was no hostess, and once she arrived we indicated we would go to the bar for open seating. We sat down at a high top at 6:55. We noticed there were two servers sitting down at the table next to us. We were passed by for 15 minutes by servers until ours finally showed up. Surprise, she was one of the ones who passed by multiple times without acknowledging us. There was no apology, no menus and some meaningless small talk from her. We ordered drinks that took 5 minutes to arrive. We then placed our order for entrees, including a side salad which should arrive first. This was at 7:20. After no food arrive, no other acknowledgement and no manager on duty to be found besides one coming out of the kitchen to criticize the bartender, we walked out at 7:45. I will never be back and will be more than happy to speak to the owners.

Great Neighborhood Bar. My husband and I love this bar. Bartenders are great and happy, happy, happy. Food is served hot and is delicious. Menu is great and full of great choices. If you are a beer drinker, you won't find a better place. By far our favorite place in Mt. Juliet.

"beer special". Sunday's special is 2 for 1 beers but they "have" to bring out both of your beers at once.... who the heck made that rule?! And more importantly, why did our server not tell us that in advance when we both ordered beer. Also, when we gave our order she wrote it down & then had to come back multiple times to verify what we ordered... what on earth did she write down?? The food is good, the bar "rules" & service could use some help though.

Miss Dare. I go to MTJ Jonathan's about 4 times a month. The happy hour, staff and food is awesome. It seems that the staff knows how to have fun while working. The place is like a Cheers bar and I love it!!!!!

Great food and great atmosphere. Jonathan's Bar and Grill has always treated me and presented me with excellent customer service. I am a regular customer and they keep me coming back due to the great way they do business. The food is awesome and the employees are always happy to see me every time. They always smile and sometimes will go the extra mile and give me a hug. If you're looking for a great atmosphere of fun and good food along with great service this is one of the best places to try. Have eaten here several times over the past year and have never had a bad meal! They have the freshest & crisp salads of any restaurant around! We have always had good svc.

Good Experiences. It appears from some reviews there are some service issues here. However, I've eaten at Jonathan's 4 times now. Always weekday dinner with a small group. Different servers and each time we've had very good service and good pizza. Pizza has a thicker crust, especially around the edge, but is not a deep dish or pan style. While I'm not usually a fan of this in-between type, it seems to work well at Jonathan's. Always has been fresh, hot with a good sauce and creamy cheese. Toppings are in proper amounts, enough to enjoy without overpowering the cheese. While I've only had pizza so far, other dishes coming out (wings and salads especially) looked good. Our servers have been prompt, friendly and not obtrusive. They have always alerted us when happy hour was ending if we wanted to take advantage of another round. (I usually do!) Always happy to tip lots for that type of service. I'll be back.

Where the food is good and they have some good drink deals after 10pm, I would not suggest that you sit at the bar to be served. I have been there three times now, and the only time I had good service when I was sitting in the restaurant area. The times where I sat down at the bar, I have been served by the same blonde haired lady. She seemed more interested in playing around with her friends that were sitting at the other end of the bar, than taking care of her customers. If I were to grade this restaurant purely on the service only, I will never come back. I think it is time for management to clean house or implement some customer service training.

Nothing Like Great Drinks!!!!. The Bartenders have been on point with keeping the drinks filled every time that I hit this bar!!! The pizza is soooooo good, and they have some pretty good wings too!! I have not tried any of their other foods, but the atmosphere keeps your mind active!! Nice place!!

Warning-bartenders!!. Told we should try the new place in Mt Juliet on a Tuesday- went with my sister and thought we should warn people about our experience. Don't go to the bar thirsty and expect a drink from the unfriendly, rude bartenders. Two female bartenders spent more time texting on there phone and talking to the other employee's than their customers. From what we could tell both either were new at tending bar or would rather be some where else. Our drinks were empty the entire night, when we asked for another round the bartender "rolled her eyes", and drinks came 9 minutes later. Don't know about the food because we ordered an appetizer and it never came. Bill was cheap because 3 of our drinks weren't rung up, maybe this was because they were making up for the horrible service. Warning- don't go to the bar!!!!

Mediocre food. Horrible service. Teenage hostess made is wait while she was texting! Server got our order wrong. We were seated next to the door on a cold day. I would rather go to Ocharleys!

Best Pizza in MT Juliet. This is Tom from Hana Sushi, I've ordered pizza from you so many times and they're so good. Wilton even brought the pizza to us nothing can beat that. Excellent service, can't wait for the next order.

So NOT worth it. Don't waste your time.. We went because all of the kids friends raved about this place. I should have known better. Don't waste your time or your hard earned money on this place.<br/><br/>Way over priced to start with, $12 for a burger & $13 for a salad?!? You've got to be kidding; and I thought Red Robin was outrageous for a burger. The only thing close to reasonable on this menu was a turkey sandwich for $8.50 that was greasy and had soggy bread. Most entree items are over $20.<br/><br/>The service was mediocre at best. The waiter was all over us trying to take our order so much that we could not even have time to try to decipher this grotesque menu. But once the order was taken and the food delivered we almost had to chase him down to get a check, so forget about refills.<br/><br/>The menu was obviuosly written in California somewhere because everything was either smother in avacadoes or salads pre drenched in ranch dressing. No options for based inexpensive "normal" food. Not everyone wants to have this "trendy" food. Especially when it is so over priced. I don't see how this place stays open. For the type of resturant this is you would have a much better choice with an O'Charley's, Appleby's, or somethign similar with better food choices and lower prices.

Love this place))). I go to Jonathan's every other day, and it doesnt really matter if it's lunch or dinner time their food, service, and atmosphere r always the best. My favorites r Avocado Club, Taco Salad, 3rd Coast Burger, and I love all pizzas at Jonathan's. And they also have a lot of different good deals that you cannot find anywhere in Mount Juliet. <br/>This is my #1 restaurant in Mount Juliet.<br/>I definitely suggest it.

Great atmosphere. Best happy hour. They always have my favorite sports games on.

We at at Jonathan's last night, but almost did not due to the rating. I am so so so glad we did! We loved the atmosphere, the pizza was so delicious and our server Olivia was wonderful and so sweet! I think this is our new place!

I almost did not eat here because of the reviews, but I'm so glad I did. Great food, service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I hope people ignore the bad reviews and check this place out.

Nice atmosphere. Food quality was so-so. Service was very slow. It took an hour to get soup and salad. It took 20 minutes to let me know they didn't have baked potatoes. Staff friendly but didn't really care to hustle. Overall score 2 of 5 due to service and quality. Probably won't be back.

I am at Jonathan's almost every other weekend and I go for lunch with people from my office quite frequently. The food is fantastic and the service is great. I don't know of anyone that hasn't had a similar experience so I was shocked to see the negative reviews. Jonathan's is always packed... I am obviously not the only person that thinks it is a great place.

Best place in town for happy hour, hands down!

Left vowing never to return. My husband and I saw this place and got excited - something new in Mt. Juliet! We came in around 7PM on a Sunday and waited about 15 minutes for a table (which is fine). It took another 15 minutes for the server to come by to get our drink order. We placed our food order (steak for me, burger for him). 40 minutes later our food finally comes, brought out by a runner, not our server. We were out of drinks when our food got dropped off and before we could ask for more the girl was gone. We went through an entire meal never seeing our server or getting a refill. On top of that, it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. I was near tears when we flagged down the hostess to get a manager. She offered a lousy appology and said our server was new. We will NEVER be back.

Wow, I realize not everyone is the same or likes the same things, however it's difficult to believe that I'm speaking of the same place some of the neg reviews are speaking of. I've come here since the opening and it wasn't perfect but has gotten better and better everytime. Food is great, specials are fantastic, especially on Tuesday, my kids fav 2 for 1 pizzas and they are &$@: good

Bad management obviously. I don't normally take the time to write these reviews but people need to know this place needs some serious help with there managers. it's obvious no one there has any experience in this industry. we have gone to this location a couple of times (only because more convenient than franklin location- but franklin MUCH better food & staff) and i have friends who have tried it too, not once have we seen a manager (mostly the male) do anything other than sit down or stand around. never greet a table, make a drink, bring a customer there food..what do these people get paid for?? they have a good bartender and good happy hour specials but this place will never make it in mt juliet unless they start over with a new management staff. bad management makes bad employees. means spend your money somewhere else.

I just want to clarify a few things and apologize. As an employee at Jonathan's I feel terrible that anyone has ever gotten bad service we are very very new but that still is not an excuse for some of the things I've read on here and a lot of these reviews are from a month ago when we had just opened the doors. We are working out the kinks and would love everyone to give us another chance to make things right and give you guys a great experience. Also as far as the bar staff goes and the comments I've seen on here, I am a bartender and do my best to give great service and the comments about Makina are inappropriate and totally unnecessary she has been a staple in the mt Juliet area for over 6 years and fills our seats with so many people that come in to see her smiling face. Personal issues shouldnt be discussed here it effects our business and it's unfair. So to anyone that hasn't been to a Jonathan's before please please come check us out you won't regret it.

My husband &I, along with 14 of our friends visited Jonathan's yesterday. We were seated in a few minutes of our arrival. A wonderful young lady named Tiffany took all of our orders. We had our food salads & drinks in a timely manner. The food was great, the service was efficient & everyone was very pleased with our dining experience. We will definitely be back.

This place has AMAZING pizza. I could seriously eat it everyday. Try the buffalo chicken pizza if having a hard time deciding. Also, the beer of the month is 2 for 1. :)

This Place is Great!!! Some of the reviews I read were a little disturbing to me so I had to write a review myself. Me and my family are foodies we love trying new places and will often drive to Nashville to eat good food that is not a "chain". This place is a wonerful option and is very consistant with how great the food is. Buy one get one free Pizza Tuesdays made us regulars on Tuesday, but I usually also try a new salad everytime also. My kids loveeee the pizza and the many tvs hold there attention while we wait for our food. We have probably been 15 times since they opened a couple of months ago, and have had maybe 2 times of mediocre service. Every other time great service! Also I would like to add EVERYTIME the food has been great or we would not go back. The also have great drink specials. People are nuts to write a terrible review on this place. It is always Slamed packed and they still get you seated usually instantly or 10min wait at most and deliver amazing food. What is there to complain about? I encourage anyone to try this place out if you haven't already! Me and my family love it!! As a matter of fact my 2 year old picky eater requests it and she is the toughest critic in the world.

UCK!!!. Was so excited to have another option in Mt. Juliet. What a disappointment! Very little money put into interior which seems to be the trent these days. High open ceiling with cement floor, brick walls and very noisy. Hard wood chairs and TONS of staff which seem to be doing not much at all. God forbid you would want to help a table that is not in your section even when you see a need. Ordered a everything pizza which came only warm. Just enough to melt cheese, crust lame and no taste, way too much sauce. Not even close to what a "woodfire" pizza. One child got kids Alfredo. Was warmed up spaghetti noodles mixed in with at least a cup of canned alfredo sauce. Not a small portion poured on top, it was like they poored the whole thing out of a can. Taste was horrible and my not so fussy boy did not even want to eat. Clearly just warmed in microwave due to how hot the bowl and contents were. (mush) Other child got the kids burger, appeared to be the best thing at the table. However, fried were also barely warm and dark brown. We did not even spend on a drink because we could clearly see after a few minutes it was not going to be worth it. Did order Spin Artichoke dip and again, totally just poured into a dish and warmed, not baked. Sauce tasted similar to that of the kids alfredo sauce. Hard colored chips came with it. Bill for these items was $36.06. With tip over $40 and NOT WORTH it. Why can we not get a good restaurant in this area. A person must travel into Nashville or Cool Springs to get something not sub par. How is it restaurants can get away with serving canned and frozen foods and charge so much. CRAZY! Save your money unless you are just wanting a drink and share a burger.

Answer the phone. Called for carryout order multiple times, multiple days. Great way to open we business with no one answering the phones. Superb business model!!

Not worth it.. First of all, from the moment that I walked in, it did not seem like a professional atmosphere. The Hostesses were talking and carrying on and we had to wait to be seated. While waiting for food, our waiter along with the others would just stand around and talk, even if the food wasn't ready, they could've been doing more than having social hour. Now, to the food, when I got it, I am not gonna lie, it was good. I got the Ham and Jack Panini, I think it was the sundried tomatoes? Not sure but I had to put those off to the side because they did not taste good at all and the crust to the bread was BURNT! So I was picking at what was good and I shouldn't have to do that. Last of all, the Manager came around and asked how our meal was and my friend was saying that it was good but before she even got finished, he ran off to another table. I did not respect that at ALL! I will say that I will not be going there anymore.

Johnathans, Grille, Mount Juliet. It was my birthday and there were 6 of us there for my birthday, we have eaten there before and never a problem , but on the 6th of July we went there for dinner. It took the waiter 15 minutes to get our drink orders , then another 15 minutes to take our food order. We waited 1 hour and our food never came out, we ended up leaving. Meanwhile there were 2 other tables with people at them that came after us. and they had been waited on , orders taken, and had gotten there food, and also had the same waiter.. I will never go there again nor will I ever recommend your restaurant again to anybody

Regular. I read these reviews on here to get other peoples opinions on a bar or restaurant I may want to try. I can understand some may write unfavorable reviews due to bad food, slow service etc. and that's fine, that can prove useful. But reviews that are merely personal attacks on individuals is irresponsible, childish and it does not belong on here. I happen to know the individual who was singularly called out in a previous review. I was actually there that night and did not see said group of women at the bar. <br/>For anyone who is actually reading this review to decide if they want to try this place, I say go for it.<br/>Great food, Atmosphere, friendly service. There are issues with the length of time the food takes to come from the kitchen, but I have confidence that the owners and management will get these kinks worked out. <br/>Any problems I have had with the food or service have been promptly taken care.

Regular at Johanthans Grille. Jonathans Grille is a great asset to the Mt.Juliet area , so the negative comments towards a specific person sounds more like a personal issue than a review about the restaurant. I go to jonathans on a regular basis for this specific person and a lot more locals do so as well, so well come to mt. juliet.

The Bar. I go to the bar at Jonathan's often. I have always had excellent service from Makina and all the other female bartenders. I can assure you Makina has more class in her little finger than the jealous people that are hatin on her and saying things that are very untrue have in their whole body. Jonathan's has some of the best male and female bartends in Mt. Juliet. I will continue to go to Jonathans and I highly recommend it to anyone!

One more Try !. A group of my freind's all decided to go to Jonathan'sGrille Tues night .I tried to advise against it because of my last experience. Ended up going anyways to hang out with my best girls ! <br/>The food was pretty good again, the nachos and salads were a good start to the night, but once again our entire trip was ruined by the same bartender! I have to say that she might have the worst attitude of all time. <br/>I agree with the other reviewers that this place would be a nice spot to have a meal and drinks if it was not for that Bartender. <br/><br/>Thumbs down, for Ghetto-Rude bartender with a bad attitude. She pretty much ruined our whole evening.

This was my second time eating at Johnathans with two completely different experiences. First time the food was ok but the bar service was probably the worst I have had in Mt Juliet in all my years going to local establishments. <br/>I had to ask three times for a beverage for my mom and myself. The girl bartender just didn't seem to have time to serve us. When we tried to complain we were informed that she was the bar manager ? <br/><br/>We gave this place a second chance and glad we did ! We had a great burgers ! And finally great service from a very attentive male server ! We didn't bother taking a chance at the bar again. <br/><br/>I say give it a chance and definitely try any of the house burgers or salads! They are fantastic. But watch out for bad service from any of the female bartenders.

My husband had the fish tacos and they were great. I ordered the Tostada Chicken Salad... The first salad I got was missing most of the ingredients described on the menu. Staff was very good about making a new salad, BUT, the salad was not great! The chicken was comparable to packaged grilled chicken, tasteless and cold. Do not recommend the salads that have chicken. No offer was made to discount our bill even though my husband was done eating before I got my second salad!!!
