Lovely spot on a nice day for a beautiful view and decent food. They are currently closed (Dec 2020), I was there in November and it was great. There’s a parking lot right off the highway though a bit scary to get across when going north. It had patio seating that was distanced. Phenomenal views of the bay with the occasional sea lion and otter floating by the patio that hangs over the water.
All food was counter order and had a limited menu. The staff was very friendly. I had a salad with shrimp and a clam chowder. The shrimp were quite large and tasty. It came with a decent portion of lettuce and had dressing on the side. The clam chowder was excellent.
I’d like to check this place out post-pandemic to see if they have a full menu as well. Really lovely spot to go after a nice hike at the Elkhorn Slough Reserve.
First of all, the view... as we ate we were passed by a harbor seal as well as two sea otters and if you can believe it, the food was even better! Everything we ate was fresh and local, and considering that you can see both the ocean and the farms from your seats this shouldn't be a surprise. But seriously, the food served is HIGH quality and expertly prepared and tasted like it was just line caught off the patio. Even the freaking side green salad was delicious! Absolutely one of our favorite placed in the bay area and certainly our favorite Moss Landing seafood restaurant!
Very nice new place. Everyone is super friendly. Not a huge menu, but enough choices where everyone in a group should be able to find something.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
I had the fish tacos which gave me the opportunity to taste four different fish. Everything was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. The coleslaw was easily the best restaurant coleslaw I've ever had.
If you come to eat on the terrace overlooking Moss Landing Harbor, be prepared for rapidly changing temperatures.
Location that can’t be beaten - much nicer spot than Phil’s! Watch the otters and sea lions frolic while chowing down on affordable, perfectly cooked fresh fish & chips... Add in a good and cheap beer list, you’ve got the recipe for a perfect day by the water.
Super good. It has an excellent view of the harbor, and the food is great. The ~$15 price tag is well worth it. The fish and chips is large and fried nicely, and the calamari sandwich is filling and delicious. Oh, and there was a ton of wildlife. Seals were splashing in the harbor, and an otter was bobbing right by the dock where we were eating, grabbing clams and shells.
Had a great lunch after kayaking. Fried squid were great, fries were great and daughter loved her chicken tenders. Took it to go and sat outside overlooking the water, location can't be beat. . Also good selection of beers. Very clean, excellent COVID19 precautions. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.
This place simply knows how to please their customers. Consistently with a nice demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, regularly delightful and neat.
Fresh. Exactly what you want when you're at a high caliber seafood restaurant. This place has an extensive list of fresh, delicious local caught seafood. I loved my shrimp Louie, the ceviche tostada's, and the halibut tacos. I highly recommend this stop in lieu of the more crowded establishments in the area. It's worth a special trip, or a stop along the way.
